Good morning☀
? is a clip from Yahoo Finance.

Some diligent people may check such news every day during their commute.
I used to do the same—checking the news morning and evening to appear studious, haha.
But does reading the news provide a basis for trading?
Can you go long after reading the above news?
There is a market adage
『When news comes out, sell for now』
and
『Buy the rumor, Sell the fact』
『Buy on the rumor and sell on the fact』
as well.
Is it a trend-following or a contrarian approach?
This is often debated, but personally I have the answer already.
The core of my investing philosophy is
『Sell when it goes up, buy when it goes down』
In other words, contrarian.
When the rate rises and news comes out… selling is the only option?
※That does not mean I am saying you should sell right now!
