It is clear from the chart that Stochastic has a fast reaction.
Hello!
Inquiries into FX, this is Satori.
There are only two days left in this year.
This time, I used MT4 Stochastic Signal to optimize for 2017.
By the way, the MT4 Stochastic function has been adjusted from the standard formula, so I have included the MT4 Stochastic Signal just in case.
The figure below shows an example of the USDJPY 30-minute Stochastic Signal.

In the EA, from v6, for cross of %D and Slow%D, sells are performed only when Stochastic is above 75, and buys only when below 25.
In this test as well, settings are for selling only above 75 and buying only below 25.
Within the boxed market in the figure above, buying yielded +34 pips, +33 pips, and selling yielded +15.7 pips for three consecutive wins.
Total: +82.7 pips.
In a backtest that would have continued through 2017, the profit and loss curve looked as follows.

*Please note that backtesting and forward testing do not always match exactly and there may be discrepancies.
Summary of Stochastic over one year.

Stochastic signals react quickly, so depending on how you use them, you can time entries even in a box range.
The following EA and indicators were used in this test.

Both will soon feature a free update that adds the ability to sell only when Stochastic is above 75 (indicator shows downward arrow) and buy only when below 25 (indicator shows upward arrow).
