Contrarian Scenario RSI Bands EA, indicator hourly and 15-minute charts
Merry Christmas!
FX Research, Satori here.
This time, I examined the reverse-strategy RSI Bands EA, focusing on the hourly and 15-minute charts of the indicators.
Before that, I previously summarized the reverse-strategy RSI Bands EA indicators for the 4-hour and daily charts, but since I hadn’t posted a 4-hour chart example, I will now present a 4-hour example.

The figure below shows a 7-win streak on GBPJPY 4-hour chart.
For the 4-hour timeframe, we re-tested, so the number of trades is higher than in the previous article.

The steps for buying with the indicator are as follows.
1. Prepare to buy with the green upward arrow (Sigma 3; in practice, depending on the currency and time frame, it displays between 3 and 1.5)
2. Buy entry with the blue upward arrow (Sigma 1; in practice, depending on the currency and time frame, it displays beyond 0.5 to 2.0)
3. Close when the closing price crosses the central moving average (new entries and closures are shown in real time signals)
4. The blue horizontal line is a reference stop-loss line (in EA, pip width, position holding time, trailing, sigma-line closures, etc. exist)
The EA automates the above procedure.
For the indicator, signals trigger emails and alerts simultaneously.
The figure below is also a 3-win example on GBPJPY 4-hour chart.
Even with a black background, the indicator colors are designed to be easy to read by default.

The steps for buying with the indicator are as follows.
1. Prepare to sell with the orange downward arrow (Sigma 3; in practice, depending on the currency and time frame, it displays between 3 and 1.5)
2. Sell entry with the red downward arrow (Sigma 1; in practice, depending on the currency and time frame, it displays below 0.5 to 2.0)
3. Close when the closing price crosses the central moving average (new entries and closings are shown in real time signals)
4. The red horizontal line is a reference stop-loss line (in EA, pip width, position holding time, trailing, sigma-line closures, etc. exist)
The EA automates the above procedure.
For the indicator, signals trigger emails and alerts simultaneously.
In both the EA and the indicator, the trading image on the 4-hour chart is as above.
Now, what about the 1-hour and 15-minute charts?
The figure below shows a display example on the 15-minute chart.

Below are the balance curve and backtest data for the past five years on the 15-minute chart.

The totals in the above figure are as follows.
Period: January 2013 to December 2017
Note: If data from 2011 and 2012 when USD/JPY was in the 70–80 range were included and optimized, performance above 100 JPY would be inefficient, so the totals are for the period above.
Trading unit: 0.01 lots
Below are the balance curve and backtest data for the past five years on the 1-hour chart.

The totals in the above figure are as follows.
Period: January 2013 to December 2017

Even on the 15-minute and 1-hour charts, the results are not very different.
Previously, it was confirmed that the indicator also functions on the 5-minute short-term chart.
All of the above data assume that all signals are executed automatically; if you improve them manually based on these trade points, it would be even better.
In any market, Dow Theory is fundamental, so combining pullback buying when prices are rising to new highs and selling on retracements when prices are rising can improve results.
This time, the tests used the reverse-strategy RSI Bands Indicator and EA.

With the update completed, preset files are included for eight currencies on the daily and 4-hour charts, as well as the 15-minute and 1-hour charts for USD/JPY.
By currency and time frame, there are 18 EAs or indicators that were optimized over the past five years.
