Tidze Emiliene, the director of the newly established Cameroon Blockchain Institute (BRIC), a blockchain think tank in Cameroon, has urged the government to adopt a blockchain-based land ownership system.

She believes that transitioning to such a system would ease social tensions surrounding land ownership and enable economic development in Cameroon, located in central Africa.

In an interview with Core Media, she highlighted how the absence of a codified land ownership registration system in Cameroon leads to numerous lawsuits and violent confrontations across various communities.
