Cycle Analysis of the Dollar Index
Hello everyone. Last time we analyzed the “Dollar-Yen” from the perspective of the “cycle.” From a cycle viewpoint, we could forecast where the bottom would form.
Forecasting is not predicting; it is something you measure in advance. If the market moves similarly to the previous cycle, we hypothesize when the bottom will occur; if the market forms a very strong trend against that, the cycle will extend, and if the market moves in small steps, the cycle will shrink. By becoming sensitive to changes such as whether the current chart has strengthened or weakened compared to the forecast movement, you develop the flexibility to adapt to market dynamics.
This time, we will analyze the current state of the “Dollar Index,” which must be checked when trading FX. The world’s key currency is the dollar. Its moves differ against the euro and the yen, among others. The Dollar Index is useful for observing the dollar’s overall movement. Now, let us see what can be learned from the Dollar Index.
