A week with little movement and few trades [Yuu Kirisato]
■Asapon
【Asapon (Pound/Yen Heikin-Ashi Reversal Morning Method)】
- Currency pair is Pound/Yen
- Enter in the morning
- Uses Heikin-Ashi
- Take profit and stop loss are fixed with OCO
- Sorry! The finer details of the rules are a secret
■17 and a half years of backtest results
January 11 (Mon)
Buy → OK
January 12 (Tue)
Skipped due to holding a position
January 13 (Wed)
Sell → This position carried over to the following week
January 14 (Thu)
Skipped due to holding a position
January 15 (Fri)
Skipped due to holding a position
Last week closed 1 win and carried 1 position to the next week. This is about 65 pips in unrealized gains, so profit-taking might be expected.
Total for 2021: 2 wins, 1 loss, +120 pips.
It was a week with little movement, but I hope this week moves more.
■ Dollar-Yen (Dollar/Lego)
【Dollar-Yen (Tight Dollar/Yen, Small Loss, Big Gain Trading)】
- Currency pair is Dollar/Yen
- Enter in the morning
- Uses Heikin-Ashi
- Take profit at 50 pips, stop loss at 10 pips fixed with OCO
- Sorry! The finer details of the rules are a secret
■10 years of backtest results
Last week there were three losses in a row…
Also carried 1 position to the next week. As of the weekend, about 6 pips in profit.
Total: 1 win, 4 losses, +10 pips. Go Dollar-Yen!
■ Turkish Lira/Yen Hedging Strategy
Price movement was stable. It was a range.
For a few days, the total swap for long and short positions briefly went negative, but it promptly recovered.
Like this, positive gains continue again. Nice.
■ Coin Toss Trade
Currently 53 trades, 14 wins and 39 losses, +90 pips.
When volatility is low, losses tend to occur in a head-on fashion.
I’m considering a more flexible rule: keep stop at −30 pips fixed, and choose the limit from 45/60/90 pips based on current volatility.
