The History of the Dollar — What Path Has the Benchmark Currency Dollar Traveled?
The dollar was born alongside the United States’ independence. Since then, as the U.S. economy developed and endured World War I and World War II together with the United States, the current anchor currency dollar was born at the Bretton Woods Conference in 1944.
