Be Cautious in September and October
There are only four months left in the year. Having been involved in the markets for many years, I have found that the period from September to year-end is always very nerve-wracking. Looking back at past markets, September and October tend to see special factors such as global financial crises, and this year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. stock prices rose substantially, so I worry that a reaction could come all at once. Since stock movements spill over into the foreign exchange market, it is important to pay even more attention than before.
