The 2 million yen "Sustainment Subsidy" in as little as 7 days—there are actually terrifying penalties involved.
Hello, this is Shimoyama.
“Two million yen has been deposited.”
Recently, a acquaintance who is a company president said this over the phone.
He looked very relieved.
This is about the “Sustainability Grant”.
For sole proprietors, up to 1,000,000 yen,
for corporations, up to 2,000,000 yen is provided.
Currently as a measure against the COVID-19 pandemic,
various subsidies, grants, and loans are prepared,
but among them this grant has been especially noted.
There are no restrictions on how the grant can be used, and
it seems to be deposited quite quickly.
In the case of that president, he applied on May 1
and the transfer was completed by the fastest on May 8.
Unlike the 100,000 yen special cash grant that is paid to all citizens which will take time to reach everyone, this is unusually fast, isn’t it?
There are people for whom 1,000,000 or 2,000,000 is not enough, I think.
But with this grant,
many could be saved for now.
Also,
the application process for the “Sustainability Grant”
is not that complicated.
Regarding COVID-related grants and subsidies,
there are criticisms that the procedures are too complex to understand,
but the procedures for the “Sustainability Grant” are comparatively simple.
However, when things get like this, one issue inevitably arises:
fraudulent applications.
The “Sustainability Grant” targets small businesses and sole proprietors whose sales have halved,
but the months when sales have halved can be chosen by the applicant,
so some might try to manipulate sales to secure the grant,
or try to deceive in some way.
“If this much is fine.”
And so on.
But if you actually do it and get caught,
severe penalties await.
Regarding the “Sustainability Grant,”
in addition to the grant, repayment may be required,
and, in some cases, the name of the corporation or applicant may be disclosed,
and in some casesyou may even be prosecuted.
This is also true for other subsidies,
but if you apply deceitfully you could lose many things later on.
Wasting your life for 1,000,000 or 2,000,000 would be a waste.
After hearing this,
some may worry, “Well, not intentional, but perhaps a mistake led to incorrect information
being filed…”
but
regarding fraud in the “Sustainability Grant,”
the following regulations exist.
========================
However, even if the basic information includes facts that are untrue,
if it is determined that this was not intentional,
it does not fall under fraudulent receipt.
‘Sustainability Grant Application Regulations (for small and medium corporations, etc.)’
https://www.meti.go.jp/covid-19/pdf/shinseikitei_chusho.pdf
P.5
========================
As stated above, the determination of fraud seems to hinge on
“whether it was done intentionally or not.”
There may be difficult cases in judging intent...
In any case, the fundamental principle is
do not try to deceive intentionally.
If you apply correctly, there is no need to worry excessively.
Also, there are various other detailed rules,
so when applying for any grant or subsidy, not just the
“Sustainability Grant,”
please confirm the regulations yourself before applying.
There are cases where determining eligibility is subtle,
but especially in such cases,
you should carefully check the “Application Guidance”
and consult the contact window.
If any problem arises, simply saying “I didn’t know”
won’t suffice.
Also, regarding the “Sustainability Grant,”
there are voices worrying about, “I entered the wrong data! Can I correct it after submitting?”
but doing so may delay the grant, so please be careful.

====================
The “Sustainability Grant” is said to be deposited in about two weeks in the guidance,
but when you think about it,
it handles hundreds of thousands of applications,
so processing them in that timeframe is an enormous task.
How thoroughly checks are made is unclear, but
they are likely doing so while working through holidays.
I think many people are working hard to protect the lives of those in dire straits.
The most difficult part may be at the call centers,
the people there.
Handling non-stop calls is no small feat.
Sometimes they may be subjected to cruel insults.
I truly think it is very tough work.
Speaking of call centers,
a friend recently told me
that on Expedia in the U.S.,
to cancel a booked flight,
they phoned the U.S. support center and
they heard a child’s voice over the phone.
The Expedia staff member who answered was
a woman,
likely because the call center staff are handling calls from home due to stay-at-home orders.
I don’t know if she is a single mother, but
you can imagine a mother at home doing her best to feed her child while working,
and it was a touching sight.
In difficult times,
many people are doing what they can to help.
Those handling grants and subsidies,
delivery drivers keeping up with surging demand,
and people working daily at convenience stores and supermarkets
are truly appreciated.
If deliveries or nearby convenience stores disappear,
it would be really troublesome.
I myself would like to contribute in some way,
and what I can do now is
to teach others how to profit from stock trading.
Recently as well,I recorded a web seminar for members of the Stock Academy.
Honestly,
I’d like to avoid going out as much as possible right now, but...
I believe these small actions
will help protect members’ lives, so I recorded the explanatory video.
Some schools simply hand over materials
and provide little or no support,
but Stock Academy
never does that.
Regularly we distribute explanatory videos,
and we answer questions you send us.
Some people
criticize your own investment methods online,
so I cannot claim to want to save everyone in the world,
but at least for all who trust and learn from me I sincerely want to see results,
and I continue to support you daily.
The time with restrictions and hardship may continue, but
through the Stock Academy I hope to continue to contribute as well.
Thank you for watching until the end today as well.
