Perry Kaufman development moving average with low false signals AMA_&_AMA_sig
Perry Kaufman developed a moving average with fewer false signals AMA_&_AMA_sig
While looking at various indicators, their designs, unique shapes, patterns not seen elsewhere,
there are those who come to like the indicators themselves,
for example like this
While being a moving average type, it has dots
The directionality can be seen from the ups and downs of the moving average and its slope,
and, with the dots, you can see entry points within it
in a way that looks
kind of appealing.
Not only the slope but also dots exist,
the dots seem to indicate entry points
quite plausible and not unusable
However, the so-called default settings may be a bit strict
they look plausible but you might go back and forth
So I will change the settings
Left is the default settings (shorter period, larger dots)
Right is the custom settings (longer period, smaller dots)
What do you think?
The custom settings seem a bit clearer,
and I think it’s less likely to zigzag
Rather than using these together
it would be better to use the custom settings while adding another indicator
To complement the characteristics, so to speak
From the description, it seems quite excellent
AMA_&_AMA_sig
An adaptive moving average indicator for MT4 that displays a less noisy moving average on the chart
The dots displayed on the moving average change color according to the direction of the moving average
The adaptive moving average was developed by Perry Kaufman
It was devised to address the issues of noise caused by unexpected price changes and lag caused by smoothing that affected traditional moving averages like SMA and EMA
Unlike SMA or EMA, it does not specify a fixed period; instead, it automatically adjusts the period based on volatility, allowing it to track quickly in fast-moving markets and slowly in slow-moving markets.
