Study is Important in Trading
Hello everyone. I’m Scattern Fuuta. Beginning with this issue, I’ll start a new series. Thank you for your support. For the first installment, I’d first like to introduce myself briefly.
I started investing as a full-time stock trader, but at one point I faced a large loss and determined that living from stock trading was mentally impossible, so I left the market. Later, a colleague at my company recommended FX, and I started FX. Since FX markets are open from Monday morning to Saturday morning, there is plenty of time to trade even for working people.
After starting FX, I dedicated my non-work time to study. However, since I had already done a lot of fundamental study while trading stocks, study mostly meant reviewing by reading books, and I spent most of the remaining time watching charts.
At first I practiced entries and exits intensively in a demo environment. Having been a full-time stock trader before, I was able to make about 3 million yen in two months, so I began trading seriously. I continued to earn profits smoothly, but then got carried away and headed straight down a losing streak. There were periods of slump, and I learned how difficult it is to keep winning.
However, I did not want to give up, so I studied carefully again and faced the market with a humble mindset. Once I started treating each trade with care, profits became more stable. For those starting FX now, I recommend gradually proceeding like this: first study → examine and verify on charts → practice.
