Leveraging Experience from Full-time Work
Dakar, a part-time trader, originally belonged to a foreign exchange team at an export company. Wanting to apply that experience to FX led him to start trading. His personal FX history is 5 and a half years, and now he has many achievements, including being No.1 in FX technique offerings on “Coconala,” appearing on “The FX!,” and “Radio NIKKEI.”
To Succeed as Part-time, Focus on Short-term Discretionary Trading
Dakar’s trading style is discretionary scalping. This aims to minimize the risks often faced by part-time traders.
“For part-time traders, a major risk is not being able to monitor charts during work. To minimize risk, I chose a scalping style that holds only during times I can watch the market.”
He also emphasizes improving discretionary trading skills as essential.
“Many part-time traders choose automated trading, but winning with automation also requires discretionary skills. First, try to acquire discretionary trading skills.”
