Ideal: accumulate profits without losses
Masami Uchida, active as a radio personality and freelance writer in various investment media, also trades FX herself. She started FX in 2009, just before the Greek crisis. Around that time, she became MC of an FX program, which motivated her to start trading to deepen her insights.
Ms. Uchida analyzes the market with just one laptop and a smartphone, and gathers information by subscribing only to the Nikkei. She does not visit FX sites, but she always keeps the timing of economic indicators in mind.
Her trading method is simple: enter only when a medium- to long-term trend appears, in the direction of the trend, and take profits when the momentum weakens.
She often completes entries during Tokyo time. In the evening she checks stock and currency movements, but seldom enters trades then.
The key to success, according to Uchida, is to accumulate small profits without taking large losses, and to stay in the market for the long term to achieve profits.
