Behind-the-Scenes Drink Seminar ~ The Old-School Cellphone Market Way ~
Everyone, we still have a little NY time left, but thank you for your hard work this week on the deals.
How have your daily deals and U.S. employment statistics deals been progressing?
Yesterday was all about loving feature phones and U.S. employment statistics, but last night we had a drink at a裏 seminar? with the “Aniki”, Mr. Tetsuo Inoue, who often appears on the feature phone blog.
Again, listening to Aniki’s market view, the “demand-and-supply demon,” while fueling with alcohol, we were fortunate to hear it from the arena seats.
Whenever I listen, the data volume, vast knowledge, and the way he speaks grounded in experience are always amazing—just one word: amazing. Especially yesterday, Aniki had a bit of alcohol, making the talk even lighter and more buoyant.
When hearing the story of Mr. Inoue, who formed “Garakē Brothers” a couple of years ago, I am reminded of the fundamentals of the market and feel the core shake as to what markets really are.
What is a market professional? That aura of market perspective is on another level, and to feel it in the arena seats, to let the market talk blossom, is something Garakei (feature-phone folks) are truly lucky to experience.
And as I’ve repeatedly told on this blog, it’s all about daily study. As humans, we are studying until we are buried; to have an original market perspective and investment strategy, two things—experience and study—must be deeply pursued, and I’ve reaffirmed that.
Whenever listening to Mr. Inoue, his edge-driven market sense and theory, deeply dug and explained, leave me in awe.
In Mr. Inoue’s case, he watches, watches, studies, studies, sharpens his sword for the coming big move, and with a steady method that catches big opportunities a few times a year, the Garakei who occasionally experiences drinking-trade and position-poser symptoms finds the drinking seminars quite piercing.
During such裏 seminars while drinking, last night the U.S. carried out airstrikes on Syria, and the ruble weakened, so Garake’s go-to “drinking-trade” approach saw me re-entering a short euro-ruble position I had recently taken profits on.
Especially last night, your guidance suggested that Garakei should focus more on their own weight, blood pressure, γ-GTP, and blood sugar values than on unemployment rate, nonfarm payrolls numbers in the U.S., and you kindly but firmly pointed out that health management deserves more attention than capital management.
Perhaps due to Mr. Inoue’s guidance, Garakei healthily hedged risk and left the drinking after the first round, returning home before midnight.
Aniki probably went on to another bar, or two? into the neon-lit streets, as you might imagine.
Thank you, Mr. Inoue, for your strict guidance and instruction. I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude.
As a small token of appreciation, I would like to introduce Aniki’s newsletter.
