■ Currency pair: EUR/USD
■ Timeframe: 1-hour chart
■ Trading rules:
- Open the EUR/USD chart at 23:00, enter only if the 22:00 hour Heikin-Ashi candle has reversed
- If a bearish candle becomes bullish, buy; if bullish becomes bearish, sell
- Take profit at +100 pips, stop loss at −50 pips with an OCO settlement
- Maximum one long and one short position each; do not hold multiple positions in the same direction
■ The backtest results for the past two years show a clean upward trend
Sell on September 19 closed at +100 pips on September 25.
New short entered on September 27. This position was carried over to the following week.
This method has so far 10 wins and 15 losses for +250 pips. A method that simply checks Heikin-Ashi at regular intervals also yields profits.
Still, Coin Toss is considerably more profitable. Trade frequency differs, making it interesting.
