[Translation] If the content really is a queen, then the content developer is the heroine.

From the title you might think, “Huh? What are you talking about?”, but this translated article is a post from the SingularDTV team aiming to establish a “decentralized entertainment”.
If we imagine movies and programs as a rich “queen,” then the analogy that content developers are a poor “heroine” seems to express their desire to reform the current structure.
I don’t know much about the glamorous side of the entertainment industry, celebrities and all, but I’ve heard that anger and dissatisfaction can be a powerful force to bring about real change when you want to transform something new.
What is it that they want to achieve? Reading this translated article might help untangle it a bit.
If content is truly the queen, then the content developers are the heroines.
Our team had a wonderful few days at Digital Entertainment World 2017 (DEW) held in Los Angeles last week.DEW’s main objective is to become a coalition for owners of intellectual property such as video, music, and publishing, enabling rights holders to access the digital value chain of technology and service providers. At its core, the mission is to collaborate with digital content distributors and create and monetize digital content on all major platforms. The two days we spent there provided a good opportunity to pause and reflect. We hope to contribute to this open dialogue.
Today, content draws customers to business websites and media sites, grabbing their interest. Content entices people to click, contributes to product sales, and attracts advertising spend. Content is the driving force of the digital world, and smartphones let billions around the world enjoy all kinds of entertainment with just a tap. That’s not necessarily good news for everyone, though.
Content is the queen, but the creators of content are often just the poor. Yet the true heroines of this story are those poor people themselves. In our story, the heroines are the filmmakers and creators.
