23:00 Heikin-Ashi Method
【Trading Rules】Euro/Dollar Late-Night Trade
■ Currency pair: EUR/USD
■ Timeframe: 1-hour chart
■ Trading rules:
- Open EUR/USD chart at 23:00; enter only if the 1-hour Heikin-Ashi in the 22:00 hour is reversing
- If a bearish candle becomes bullish, buy; if a bullish candle becomes bearish, sell
- Take profit at +100 pips, stop loss at -50 pips with an OCO settlement
- Maximum open positions for buy and sell are one each. Do not hold multiple positions in the same direction.
■ Backtest results for the past two years show a clean upward trend
A new short on May 22 was stopped out on May 27.
And then at 23:00 on May 27, I entered a sell according to the rule.
Hedging and Swap Capture
This management is quite challenging.
On May 30, the AUD/JPY swap for 10,000 units on Kikitori FX dropped from 40 to 35 yen. A 5-yen difference is huge... daily yield has fallen to 275 yen.
In two weeks I expected to break even, but from here it will take about a month to turn positive.
However, unless the receipts and payments reverse, I will continue steadily. There may also be times when the daily yield rises again.
