[Fibonacci Dedicated Tool Tutorial] Episode 4: Two Trading Modes / How to use market orders and pending orders (how to use order-related features)
Continuation from Last Time: Choose Order Type ⇒ Trade
Last time, we talked about being able to choose the order type in the detail panel. Market order or limit (reservation). The choice here will be used later when you press the BUY or SELL buttons.
This time, we go further. This is the behavior when you actually press the buy/sell button. Many of you may be curious. Whether it’s market order, limit order, or a situation where you want to place an order without drawing Fibonacci lines. The features are designed to fit the trading flow with careful attention. Now, let’s go through them in order.
All features are here⇒FibonacciTradeSystem
Fibonacci Trading Mode: Market Order
If the order type is set to market order, the story is simple. The buttons in the panel only display “BUY” and “SELL.” The moment you press, the order is placed immediately.
↑ Before placing a market order (each badge shows the distance from the current price)
↑ After placing a market order (badges show “#number” and the position management panel is displayed)
TP/SL are used from the position where you pressed the buy/sell button. This is the position decided in the previous flow. Therefore, if you confirm a rebound and think “this is it,” you should press without hesitation. As long as TP/SL are decided, you just wait for the timing. This was designed to be simple and focused.
Fibonacci Trading Mode: Limit Order
If the order type is set to limit, it changes a bit.
First, the display of the buy/sell button changes to “BUY SET” and “SELL SET.”
Also, even if you insert Fibonacci and set the order type to “Reservation,” it will not be placed immediately. A gray badge is displayed.
↑ Before placing a limit order (check the SELL SET label. Pips inside the badge ⇒ reservation badge = distance from current price, TP/SL badge = distance to reservation badge)
↑ After placing a limit order (badges receive a # number)
When actually placing the order, press “BUY SET” or “SELL SET.” Here, the order is placed according to the badge position at the time of pressing. The badge color changes from gray to green.
Reservation Orders Can Be Placed in Batches
Reservation orders are not limited to one. You can place multiple at different levels at once.
↑ Before placing multiple reservations
↑ After placing multiple reservations (overlapping badges can be minimized)
After you have decided all the order badges, press “BUY SET” or “SELL SET” in the same way. Then the badge color changes from gray to green, and that is when the actual orders are placed for the first time.
However, one of the orders may fail to place for some reason. In such a case, the failed reservation badges do not disappear. They remain for the failed portion, while only the successful portions are confirmed. Even though you placed them all together, you should not have to redo everything due to a single stumble.
Normal Trading Mode: Market Order
Up to now, Fibonacci drawing has been assumed. But there are times when you want to place orders quickly without drawing Fibonacci lines. That is the purpose of the “Normal Mode.”
In this trading mode, you can place orders at the position of each badge regardless of Fibonacci levels or display states.
↑ Normal mode button (menu panel shows a check for normal mode / sub-bar / change buy/sell type & normal mode OFF button)
When Normal Mode is ON, a sub-bar appears. It also has the buttons for Market and Limit, and each type. The usage is the same as during Fibonacci trading.
By pressing each button, an order badge is displayed, so you just decide the price to place and press “BUY (Set)” or “SELL (Set).”
↑ Reservation order mode. Multiple reservations are possible
In the sub-bar, pressing “Show SL” or “Show TP” lets you choose whether TP/SL are set.
However, even if you hide SL from the chart, SL will always be placed. This is a feature to prevent excessive losses and trades that are convenient for emotions by not setting SL.
The width of SL can be configured from properties.
↑ You can place without setting TP/SL
↑ When SL is hidden, a warning popup appears.
Normal mode and Fibonacci drawing cannot be used simultaneously. If you turn on normal mode and then draw a new Fibonacci, normal mode automatically turns OFF.
Why We Built This Feature
I want to compare multiple levels and decide the final order all at once. To support such scenarios, you can place multiple positions at once.
I made it so that a single failure in bulk submission does not erase the rest. I wanted to avoid having all trades redo due to network errors or temporary server issues. I’ve kept the badges aligned so they aren’t wasted.
One reason the normal mode and Fibonacci cannot be used together is to prevent one’s state from mixing with the other’s rationale. If you place orders in normal mode while looking at Fibonacci, it becomes difficult to later review which reason you entered. When using, clearly separate the trading method.
Actual screens and other feature details are on the product page.
