MT5's EA, "the strongest" is Dow Theory!
What does "the strongest" refer to
Do not just end with theory.
When you search for "MT5 EA strongest," you get a variety of products. Flashy performance, complex logic, products claiming AI—the options are many, but honestly, there is no clear definition for the word "strongest."
If I were to answer this question in my own way, it would be like this.
The strongest is Dow Theory.
Why Dow Theory
Dow Theory is the foundational theory of market analysis proposed by Charles Dow in the late 19th century. Even after more than 100 years, it continues to serve as the basis for all technical analysis.
The reason it has endured for so long is simple: it has universality.
There is a direction to trends. Trends continue until a reversal sign appears. The state of a trend can be judged by higher highs and higher lows, and lower highs and lower lows—this way of thinking is not limited to specific currency pairs or a particular era. It has functioned similarly in forex, stocks, in the 1990s, and in the 2020s.
And one more strong point that cannot be overlooked.Popularityis another.
Many traders refer to the same Dow Theory and make similar judgments at similar turning points. This is close to a state where "everyone is looking at the same map."I think.
In the market, the more participants are aware of a level, the more likely it is to function—this is another reason why Dow Theory has maintained its edge for a long time.
Proof over theory
I have finally succeeded in completing an EA based on Dow Theory that produces real results. More than its appearance or eloquent explanations, what matters isthat it delivers results.

That said, theory alone does not translate into actual trading. When and on which currency to apply Dow Theory and under what risk management—these are the challenges that implementers must address.
The EA I am developing is based on Dow Theory, tested in MT4, migrated to MT5, and refined step by step in the forward operation to address issues that became apparent.
For example, in the initial MT4→MT5 migration, adjustments were made to prevent order rejections due to broker environment differences. As operations progressed, I worked on differentiating trading patterns across multiple accounts and speeding up processing.
And in the most recent version update, I faced another reality revealed during forward operation. Even though entry and settlement logic based on Dow Theory is valid, profits could be eroded by swaps after unrealized gains grew and the market reversed.
Therefore, I added a mechanism to gradually raise the profit target required for settlement as time passes. The core of the theory remains unchanged, while the practical operation has been continuously sharpened.
In closing
The strength of the theory itself and how to apply it to actual markets and real environments are separate matters.
What I aim to do is to build on the Dow Theory—the long-standing, universal foundation—and add refinements honed through practical use.
