Gold, the upward trend shows no signs of stopping—reaches the $4,670 range. The ascending dragon of gold is its turn
Since entering August, I have been chasing Gold's uptrend, and there are no signs of momentum fading. From early-month around $4,000 to today at the start of the week briefly reaching the $4,670 range. With a weak dollar trend, the post-FOMC minutes flow, and expectations for the Jackson Hole meeting this weekend, several factors are converging to keep the uptrend rising. In this article, I will plainly convey the actual state of this uptrend and how the buy-focused, grid-based Shoukinryu is moving in this market.
In early August, Gold was range-bound around $4,038–$4,052 and has since continued to test higher without forming a meaningful pullback. It has stepped up from around $4,270 (as of 8/7) and around $4,520 (as of 8/21), and today at the start of the week surged to the $4,670 range for the first time since mid-May. The dollar weakness and Gold strength are not waning; rather, the momentum seems to be strengthening.
This week focuses on Jackson Hole Conference from 8/27–29, especially 8/28 (Fri) when new FRB Chair Waller will give his first speech since taking office. The event tends to have a gap between expectations and actual content, so temporary fluctuations are possible, but based on the price action so far, the momentum of the uptrend does not appear to be easily broken.
Shoukinryu is a buy-only grid EA that buys on dips and closes positions on rebounds. Its strength is most evident in markets where prices dip and then bounce back or test higher again. Gold is currently repeating this “dip then attempt higher” movement, overall trending upward. Of course, if the market were to fall and never recover, the risk of unrealized losses would persist, but at least for now the market conditions seem aligned with Shoukinryu’s design philosophy.
Regardless of the amount, five consecutive business days closed in positive territory. Moreover, today marks the largest realized profit among these five days. In the forward management account (real-trade.tech is publicly available), the balance is also growing in step with this uptrend. If this tailwind continues, there is a possibility that this flow will persist for a while, but this is merely a recent trend and does not guarantee future results.
Market trends can continue indefinitely, and that is precisely why the window to ride the current tailwind is longer the earlier you start. Shoukinryu is already in operation by many people at this moment, as Gold is riding this tailwind, and the EA itself continues to be updated for free. Since market conditions can change while you’re deciding to implement, if you’re interested please first verify the logic and real-trade performance with your own eyes.
Of course, there is no guarantee of profits. As a grid-based, averaging-down system, there is always a risk of accumulating unrealized losses in a downward-trending market. Please review the logic and risk yourself and use this as one piece of your decision-making.
- Gold rose from around $4,000 to around $4,670 in under three weeks, continuing the uptrend
- Current market conditions are favorable for buy-focused, grid-type Shoukinryu
- Five consecutive business days ended with realized profits; today among them the largest at +70,134 JPY
- How long the trend will continue is unknown. It does not guarantee future profits and involves risk; prudent consideration is advised
