Gold at the start of the week accelerated further, briefly reaching the 4,670 USD range. Continuing the upward trend from last weekend, it reached levels not seen since mid-May. USD/JPY around 159, EUR/USD around 1.1677, continuing the trend of USD weakness and gold strength. This week’s major focus is the Jackson Hole Meeting from Aug 27–29, especially on Aug 28 (Fri) when Chair-designate Waller will give his first speech since taking office, drawing market attention.
