Gold extended to around ¥4,515–4,522 and maintains the upward trend since August. The dollar weakness after the FOMC minutes persists toward the weekend, with USD/JPY in the mid-158s and EUR/USD around 1.168. Gold has risen about 10% this month. Today, around 16:00 CET the euro zone PMI flash for August and at 22:45 US PMI flash for August will be released; be mindful of position adjustments ahead of the weekend.
