The Obon holiday, which had been extended from July 29 (Wed) to August 16 (Sun), is over, and today we restarted operation and delivery for Kōdū-ri and Kinmyaku AI. For Enmusubi AI and Futtsuki (Tsubotsuki), we are still evaluating the live trading environment considering spread impact, so we will refrain from trading for a little longer.
Gold is resting around the high zone of $4,370–$4,400. Although it pulled back from the two-month high, the downside remains solid, and it remains a range where both upside and downside are hard to break. USD/JPY is in the low 159s, with upside capped ahead of the 160 intervention line. EUR/USD remains solid around 1.157.
There were no notable economic indicators today, and as a start of the week it was a day lacking a clear direction.
