Today's Market Overview

Today was BOJ (Bank of Japan) policy rate announcement and outlook report day. While a hold at 1% policy rate is widely anticipated after June's rate hike, the yen continues near its 40-year low despite June's rate increase, and the USD/JPY has risen to around 166. Gold moved toward $4,100 after the FOMC, but today faced a heavy upper range ahead of the BOJ announcement.

Shōkinryū continues penny averaging during intraday declines, holding five positions as of the evening, with unrealized P/L−31,055 yen. However, some were taken at a profit during the preceding declines and rebounds,today's realized profit already +6,808 yenhas been secured. Remain vigilant for volatility ahead of the BOJ announcement and press conference.
