[Enmusubi AI Development Story No.16] Why we named it "Enmusubi" — the wishes embedded in the name
Until last time, I talked about the worldview surrounding this EA, including seasonal terms and the “Enmusubi” panel. For the closing of the worldview chapter, please allow me to start at the very root—the name itself. Why was this EAnamed “Enmusubi AI”? In fact, the name contains the whole mechanism and wishes of this EA.
※“yen” and “en (fate)”—two homonymous words carry the very design of this EA.
The starting point of the name was a simple wordplay. This EA watches USDJPY, GBPJPY, and EURJPY—the three “yen” crosses.Three “yen (en)” crossesAnd these three relationships are bound together.yenbindtogetherand then overlain with the same reading of“en”to form “enmusubi” (binding fate).
I didn’t want to end with a mere pun. The name is the word you see most every day. So I wanted a name that would remind you what the EA is actually doing whenever you say it.A name that recalls what the EA doesin one phrase: “Bind the yen with fate.” This single line summarizes the logic.
As I explained in Episode 9, this EA compares three yen crosses and quietly buys the one that lags behind the others. Lagging behind means it has drifted a bit away from the other two. Buying that distant one is also a move to reconnect the three separated relationships.the one that lags behindto bring it back into the flow.
Enmusubi is, in its essence, about bringing together things that are apart. In market terms, it meansto bind a stock that was left behind back into the flowand back into the trend. The name “enmusubi” directly mirrors this behavior.
“Binding” also carries another meaning. It is the concept ofbasket take-profitFrom Episode 11. This EA does not close out wins and losses one by one. When a winning lot is expanding, it pulls a still-submerged losing lot out with it,and exits togetherAs soon as the overall position turns positive, it closes the bundle.
Separating and closing only one losing lot is avoided—it ties into the design that does not cut losses in one stroke.Because the lots are bound together, you can wait. “Musubi” is not a decorative element of the worldview but the core of the settlement logic.
The title of this series is “Even if it falls, it blooms again.” I superimposed that wish into the name as well. In operation, there will always be painful periods due to unrealized losses. Just as a cherry blossom falls once, it may detach and cool down. Yetas long as the fate remains, when the season comes, it will bind again and bloom again. I want it to be a relationship where you can believe that.
One more point. The “fate” here does not just refer to three currencies in the market. It also refers to the bond between this EA and you, the user. It should be an EA you can use for a long time, calmly, without rushing or a short-term fling—an ongoing relationship. I wrapped that wish into the name as a whole.an EA that you can use calmly for a long time— I kept the hope of a lasting relationship, that we will rotate through seasons without giving up—a hope embodied in the name.
The name is gentle, but it is not a name that softens risk. Enmusubi AI is designed not to cut losses. If all three yen crosses move in the same direction rapidly, rapid, comprehensive yen appreciationmy unrealized losses can balloon before the binding is undone, and the account may collapse. The “bind and wait” design is advantageous when the market returns, but becomes a weakness when the market keeps moving in one direction without returning. Always operate with ample capital. A recommended margin is about 1,000,000 yen for 0.01 lot x 3 instruments. This weakness will be addressed directly in the next risk section.
- Three“yen”crosses bound → then overlain with the same reading of“en”to form “enmusubi”
- Buy the lagging one — bind back the out-of-flow symbolsto the flowmovement
- Bind won and lost lots together for full take-profit (basket) — core of a design that does not cut losses
- Wish is “Even if it falls, it blooms again” — binding a long-enmity between EA and usera long-lasting bond
- ※Even if the name is gentle, the risk of full yen appreciation does not disappear. Use with ample capital.
