【Gold Veins AI Utilization Series Episode 3】Activity Level Gate — A mechanism for AI to discern “move/stay”
Previously, I talked about how to view the arrow signs themselves (no repaint). This time, the heart of Gold Vein AI—the“Activity Level Gate”—is the gate at the core. Gold Vein AI does not issue arrows indiscriminately. It AI-determines whether an upcoming moment looks likely to move and decides whether to pass or suppress the signal. Let’s examine why such a mechanism is needed in order.
Buying on dips and selling into reversals become profitable only when the marketmoves. Even if the direction is correct, if the market is calm and prices do not extend, profits won’t grow. Moreover, the times when it doesn’t move tend to have small fluctuations that sneakily erode profits.
In other words, one major cause of reduced win rate or expected value is“entering in times when it doesn’t move”. Then why not select only moments likely to move and emit signals? From that idea, the Activity Level Gate was born.
※ The Activity Level Gate checks only whether the market will move or not. It has a role separate from determining direction (buy/sell).
The Activity Level Gate reads the current market state with AI (an activity AI based on its own logic) andjudges whether it will move soonIf movement is deemed unlikely, it will suppress signals as WAIT; if movement is deemed likely, it will enable arrows as GO.
What matters is that the gate is watching only“whether it moves or not”. The direction (up/down) is handled by another mechanism (higher-timeframe trend). By separating the “direction” and the “activity,” Gold Vein AI avoids forcing a direction and narrows down where it can win. Note that the internal specific judgment logic and numbers are kept confidential as the core of the product.
Activity is visualized on the chart via theActivity Gauge. When the gauge is low, markets are quiet and signals are subdued. When high, signals become active in momentum markets.
This one-look mechanism is also useful when trading discretionary. In low gauge times, you can mentally prepare for “this is probably a wait-and-see phase,” and when the gauge rises, you can gear up for “it may move soon.”Judgment material while waiting for signalsto use.
Passing signals through the gate naturally reduces the number of signals. We skip times when the market won’t move. Yet, what remains ismore focused on moments likely to extend. In trading, the number of signals isn’t everything; as previously mentioned, thetotal expected valueis what matters.
“Having many signals is not necessarily a good tool.” On the contrary, the ability to stay quiet in moments when you should not emit signalsdistinguishes signal quality. The Gate makes this “silence decision” by AI, making it easy to understand.
High activity does not guarantee winning. It simply selects “moments easier to move.” Directions may still go wrong, or it may reverse after moving. Please view the Activity Level Gate as a sieve to raise win rate, not a guarantee of accuracy.

- Buying on dips and selling into rallies only grow in moments where the market moves → entering in moments when it doesn’t moves lowers expected value
- Activity Gate = AI determines“GO (pass) / WAIT (wait)”at a gate
- What it watches is“whether it moves”. The direction (buy/sell) is handled by the higher timeframe trend — a two-tier approach
- Visualize “now is the time to move” with the activity gauge → use as judgment material while waiting
- The aim is not the quantity but thequality (total expected value). Even with high activity, accuracy is not guaranteed
