【Gold Vein AI Utilization Series Episode 2】How to Read Arrow Signs — What is a No Repaint that Does Not Move Afterwards
Last time, I talked about Gold AI's design philosophy of “not predicting direction, but predicting turning points.” This time isHow to Read the Arrow SignWhen choosing a signal tool, the first thing to confirm is“Whether it is No-Remap”. Not moving after it has formed—this one point determines whether you can trust the backtest numbers.
“Backtests show perfect arrows, but real trading is terrible.” The true source of disappointment with signal tools isrepainting—the phenomenon where arrows appearing on forming bars disappear later or move to another position.
Looking back at past charts, arrows remain in good positions after the results are known, making it seem like you could win. In actual trading, however, the arrow that was not yet settled disappears immediately after you enter—this cannot serve as evidence.Win in backtesting but lose in real tradingThis is the cause for many tools.
Gold AIDetermines on the settled bar, and once a signal appears, it does not move afterwards(No-Remap). It does not settle on forming bars; signals are confirmed when the bar closes. Therefore, the arrows visible on past charts and those appearing in real time align. This makes it easy to reproduce the backtest results in real trading—the greatest value of No-Remap.
Arrows appear whenthe trend direction and the activity level both align on a confirmed bar. The important thing is toreceive after the bar is confirmed. Do not anticipate movement during formation; after confirming the arrow, enter on the next bar as the basic usage. Instead of chasing blinking arrows, calmly pick only confirmed signals—this mindset is the key to leveraging No-Remap.
To avoid any misunderstanding, No-Remap is“not making things look better after the fact” sincerityand does not mean 100% win rate. Even confirmed signals can lead to losing trades. What matters is not individual wins or losses butwhether the overall expectancy is positive. To correctly judge the cumulative result, first assume signals do not move—this is the prerequisite. The method to read performance is discussed in detail in Chapter 5.
Gold AI is an indicator that displays buy/sell signals and is not an automated trading EA. You must place orders and make final judgments yourself. The performance shown on the chart (profit/loss curves, PF, expectancy, etc.) isreference values based on past backtestsand does not guarantee future profits. FX/CFD trading involves risk.
- Repainting= arrows disappear/move after the fact → causes backtests to look winning but real trading to fail
- Gold AI isNo-Remap= confirmed signals do not move → backtests and real trading align more easily
- Arrows should bereceived on the confirmed bar and entered on the next bar, which is the basic approach
- No-Remap is sincerity, not guaranteed victory → what matters isthe total expectancy
