Enmusubi AI Development Story Episode 1 — Why did I, a Gold version, create the "En-cross" EA
Right now, I’m making a completely different new EA from gold. Its name is“Enmusubi AI”. It watches USDJPY・GBPJPY・EURJPYThree Yen Crossesas an EA. Why did a gold specialist venture into Yen Crosses? Before launch, I’ll tell you, in order, the process I’m currently Going Through.
From operating the gold EA, I learned one thing very clearly.If you bet everything on one market, there is no escape when that market turns hostile; a buying-biased EA can only endure when gold keeps moving in one direction downward.
Then,what if I lay out several similar-looking markets side by side and compare them? That became the starting point. I chose three Yen Crosses—USDJPY・GBPJPY・EURJPY—that move around the same “yen” axis—as the comparison targets.
These three tend to “fall together when the yen is bought, and rise together when the yen is sold.” Like a family, they generally face the same direction. However, sometimesone of them lags behind its companionsfor a moment.
This “lag” tends to be caught up with the others eventually. If so,quietly buy only the lagging one. That seed became Enmusubi AI. It’s possible to detect distortions precisely because we are viewing the three in a row.
Another feature I desperately wanted to include.Make the EA say in Japanese what it is thinking right now. When you are carrying a loss, an EA that stays silent is genuinely anxious. I’ve felt that anxiety, so I built an “explainable AI” that displays all reasons on a panel. Not a black box of machine learning, but a rule-based system where the reasons are visible.
Binding the three “ens” (yen) ties, and picking up the lagging one to nurture it.Enmusubiis abinding and tyingof the Yen. Therefore “Enmusubi.” The world view chose sakura (cherry blossoms).
Cherry blossoms always bloom again, even after they fall. This EA is designed not to rush to close when there is an unrealized loss, but to wait for a recovery.However, this is also a double-edged choice of “not cutting losses.”I’ll discuss why I designed it this way and what risks it carries in this series (no hiding).
