Developer of Gold (XAUUSD) dedicated EA “Shoko-ryu” and “CHAOS_GOLD_LISKOFF_MT5.” After experiencing significant losses through discretionary trading, shifted to emotion-free, rule-based automated trading. Believes in developing EAs that can withstand 11 years of backtesting.

Today's move
Gold started around $4,550 but faced upside resistance through Europe to NY hours, softening to around $4,535. After housing data (21:30, 23:00) passed, no clear direction emerged, continuing in a range ahead of tomorrow's FOMC minutes.
Today's notable price range
Today, housing starts and existing home sales had limited market impact, with gold trading in a tight range around $4,530–$4,550. Ahead of tomorrow's FOMC minutes (early JST 3:00 on 5/21), positions remain largely unchanged awaiting clearer guidance.
If the minutes lean hawkish, risk of breaking below $4,479; if dovish, rebound above $4,577 becomes plausible. Tonight, the EA news filter will operate automatically around the minutes.

Either way, both EAs' news filters will operate automatically around the minutes. Until the minutes are released, no manual intervention will be made; decisions will rely on the EAs.
