Risk management is not a “technique” but a “premise”

In the world of FX,
it’s said that you can’t win if your mindset is weak.

Indeed, since you must keep making judgments under strong stimuli,
mental resilience is an indispensable factor.

However, I have a slightly different perspective.

Even someone with an HSP temperament like me
continues to develop and operate EAs in this world.

In other words,
it’s not that I’m “unsuited,” but
that perhaps “the method isn’t fitting.”

Recognizing this is the starting point of risk management,
I believe.

Why we must think with a “premise of breaking”

Old cars were said to be durable.

Today’s cars are controlled by semiconductors,
and indeed have aspects that are prone to breaking.

However, if they break, you can replace the parts and fix it.

This is the key point.

In the real world, much is built on a structure where you can redo things even if they break.

An EA built with complex logic
may break due to changes in market conditions and environment
at times.

And depending on how it breaks,
the account itself could fail,
making a comeback difficult.

In other words,
“how to act after breaking” is too late.

From the start,
the question is
“how to design with the premise that it will break.”

Risk management is not about defense but design

When people hear risk management,
they often think of defensive techniques to curb losses.

But in reality, it’s more fundamental.

That is the mindset of designing so that you never exit under any circumstances.

If you miss this,
no matter how excellent the logic, it won’t have meaning.

Moreover,
the more complex and high-performing the EA,
the more fragile it may become to environmental changes.

Therefore, what matters is not “how much you can earn” but
“how it breaks.”
And,

“whether breaks are not fatal.”

Having this perspective can greatly change long-term results.

A minority perspective can fill gaps

FX is a world of strong stimuli, and it tends to favor aggressive thinking.

Among them, those who are sensitive to risk and change, like HSP types, are a minority.

But that also means there are things you can see.

Feeling that “this design is dangerous”
“this movement is inconsistent”

Being able to notice such discomfort itself becomes a value.

I am currently using that perspective in EA development and information sharing.

And at the same time,
I want to offer alternative choices to those who have faced similar concerns.

In conclusion

In FX,
risk management is not learned afterward.

And it is
not just a technique but a mindset for surviving.

Missing this is the minimum condition for lasting participation.
