Developer of Gold-only EA 'Shōkinryū' and 'CHAOS_GOLD_LISKOFF_MT5'. After experiencing significant losses in discretionary trading, switched to emotion-free, rule-based automated trading. Believes in developing EAs that endure 11 years of backtests.

On Monday 5/4, Greenery Day, the Japanese market is closed for the day. U.S. and Europe trade as usual, and gold moved down from last Friday's $4,614to around $4,570, about $40 drop.
In thin liquidity with absence of Japanese participants, pre-GW stock balance adjustments and dollar buying last weekend pressured gold higher. Geopolitical risk from Iran remains on radar, but today’s developments were less likely to be market-moving.

This week the key point is NFP on 5/8. If NFP comes in weaker than expected (gold rises), the scenario of reducing existing unrealized losses across the 25 positions and taking profits in one go comes into play.
■ Forward outlook — After Japan's 3-day weekend and NFP are key
Japan will be on a 3-day weekend from 5/4 to 5/6, with domestic markets resuming on 5/7 (Thu). Meanwhile, the U.S. and Europe will operate as usual, sothin liquidity may lead to one-direction movescontinues.
The week's biggest point is NFP on 5/8 at 21:30. March's figure was +178,000 with unemployment at 4.3%. Depending on April's result, gold could move significantly. We will continue to report while the EA runs.
