[April 28, 2026] Risa Asahina's Gold EA Performance Report
Today, at the stage where unrealized losses exceeded 300,000 yen,Emergency Columnhas been published.
We整理 four options for facing unrealized losses.
Gold today started near the previous close of $4,705, then gradually declined after Asia hours. From Europe time to NY before, there was no meaningful rebound, with selling dominating throughout. Today's low was near $4,571, a drop of over $130 from the previous day.
The drop is attributed to position adjustments ahead of the FOMC meeting tomorrow (4/29-30) and a rise in US long-term rates prompting dollar buying. Following the geopolitical premium not being priced in after the weekend shooting, today also did not see a “risk-off gold buying” flow.
With the lower bound breaking well below the assumed range of $4,670–$4,750 and clearly breaking through the $4,600 pivot, a short-term adjustment toward the $4,500s is within sight. At 21:00, around $4,571, and it remains to be seen whether selling pressure and short-covering will mix as the FOMC meeting begins tomorrow.
Today's ShoukinryuRealized profit ±0 JPYfrom the previous day’s 10 positions jumped to32 positions, and unrealized losses grew to-478,090 JPY. A one-sided drop from around $4,705 led RSI entries to trigger repeatedly, building a pyramid of averaging-down within $4,720–$4,570 range in a single day.
Unrealized loss ratio is about 34%, a figure well above the backtest maximum drawdown of 12% on the product page. To be transparent, real trading is currently diverging from the backtest.
On the other hand, the margin maintenance rate is3,830%, remaining far from any forced liquidation. Since there was no rebound today, there was no lump-sum profit-taking, but if rebounds occur at tomorrow's FOMC, losses could be quickly offset.
CHAOS_GOLD operates on Tuesday as a trading day with entry slots at 4:00 and 18:00 JST. From yesterday's 14 positions, it has accumulated to17 positions. Today's realized profit was ±0 JPY, and at 18:00 settlement judgment, total P/L did not reach a positive value, so all positions were carried over.
Unrealized losses are-469,831 JPY, more than triple the previous day's -128,542 JPY. Because gold dropped by over $130, given the long/short pairing structure, unrealized losses were unavoidable.
Even so, the margin maintenance rate is6,962%, providing ample leeway. Tomorrow, 4/29 (Wed) will be a regular trading day; 4/30 (Thu) is FOMC day and a market holiday, so the period of maximum volatility can be structurally avoided. If there is a rebound around FOMC, a lump-sum resolution is possible.
- Shoukinryu: unrealized loss -478,090 JPY / maintenance 3,830% / balance 1.38 million JPY
- CHAOS_GOLD: unrealized loss -469,831 JPY / maintenance 6,962% / balance 1.36 million JPY
- Total unrealized loss: about 948,000 JPY (roughly 34% of total combined trading capital around 2.75 million JPY)
- Both accounts maintain over 3,000% margin; far from forced liquidation
While the absolute unrealized loss is substantial, both EAs maintain margin above 3,000%, so the accounts remain within a durable range. I personally will continue full automation and bet on tomorrow's FOMC.
For those also carrying unrealized losses, today we publishedEmergency Column outlining four options (continue / partial close / stop all / reduce lot size and restart). Use as decision material.
- FOMC meeting, Day 1 (US time from afternoon 4/29)
- U.S. GDP速報値 (GDP速報値) at 21:30 JST
- U.S. existing home sales (pending contracts)
Tomorrow 4/29 is Day 1 of the FOMC meeting. Policy rate decision is on the morning of 4/30 Japan time, so Wednesday is mainly a wait-and-see mood. Short-term volatility may arise depending on the U.S. GDP速報値 results.
Two scenarios to watch:
- FOMC pre-short cover: four days of declines exhaust selling; position adjustments trigger buying, gold rebounds
- Continued decline scenario: U.S. GDP beats expectations + rate-cut expectations fade → a re-alignment to the $4,500s
Both EAs will operate as usual tomorrow. News-filter and spread-filter activate around data releases, providing safety via protective mechanisms at peak volatility. CHAOS_GOLD is closed on Thursdays, so tomorrow is the last entry opportunity of this week.
Now that unrealized losses have swollen, we are reporting in real time without hiding anything.
