Star developer and foreign warrior who appeared like a comet — 5000-character interview
In this project, the FX翼攻略.com editors will delve into the development products of the foreign warrior and the true face of the person himself.
“Foreign Victory” supports seven currency pairs, so buying one lets you build a portfolio!
Ebizawa (FX攻略.com Editorial Department): I would like to talk about the popular EA “Foreign Victory” created by the Foreign Warrior and the indicator “Foreign RSI Perfect Order.” First, could you tell us what kind of EA the Foreign Victory is?
【Foreign Victory】
https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/systemtrade/fx/16135
Foreign Warrior (hereafter, Foreign): When Foreign Victory was released, it initially supported only the EURUSD currency pair, but customer feedback said they wanted support for other pairs, so we upgraded it to be usable with seven currency pairs. Specifically EURUSD, GBPJPY, USDJPY, EURJPY, AUDJPY, GBPUSD, and AUDUSD. By combining these, you can build a portfolio.
Ebizawa: So, by buying Foreign Victory, you can build a portfolio covering up to seven currency pairs. That sounds cost-effective!
Foreign: Thank you. If you only trade one currency pair, the trading volume tends to be low, but by increasing the number of pairs, you can diversify risk and maintain trading precision while increasing the number of trades. We have backtests for each currency pair and for all currency pairs operated together on the product page, so please check them.
Ebizawa: Then, could you explain the logic?
Foreign: First, we do not use betting-like elements such as grid averaging or martingale. If you include those, you can create a visually neat EA, but there is a risk of eventual ruin, so I did not want to create such an EA. Foreign Victory has backtesting data spanning more than 13 years. I built something that can be used long-term, so I think both my customers and I can have a win-win relationship.
In terms of logic, it is a method I personally use in discretionary trading. It follows the classic trend-following approach, entering on pullbacks and retracements. Although simple in concept, it uses multiple technical indicators, analyzing the trend in higher time frames (multi-time frame analysis) and entering on the 5-minute chart. It can hold up to three positions, but this can be configured freely.
Ebizawa: You mentioned it is trend-following, but how does it behave in range-bound markets?
Foreign: It does not trade in range-bound markets. It is designed to trade where there is a clear, advantageous trend with high probability of winning.
Ebizawa: Then, what if there are challenging phases?
Foreign: Markets moving on fundamentals, such as news, can be weak. Sudden news related to Brexit or events like terrorist incidents can cause losses. However, since Foreign Victory operates across multiple currencies, you can hedge risk by stopping certain currencies like GBP if they look suspect.
Ebizawa: As the creator, would you prefer users to keep the EA running continuously, or stop it at times?
Foreign: If there is an expected major move from fundamentals, I think it’s better to stop. Fundamentals are difficult, though. Basically, it is fine to leave it running. Gogojan's forward tests run continuously, and you can see drawdowns recover over time. I’d rather users not stop immediately after a drawdown; give it 1–2 weeks to see the recovery.
If you are considering stopping EA operation, try to determine whether the issue lies in the logic itself causing a persistent decline, or whether the drawdown occurred as part of the inevitable cycle. Otherwise you’ll miss recovery opportunities, which would be a waste. Do not panic at drawdown; look at it with a long-term perspective. Drawdowns happen with any EA.
Ebizawa: By the way, what is your maximum drawdown?
Foreign: For all currency pairs, with 1,000,000 yen managed, drawdown remains under 10%.
Ebizawa: I understand the urge to be unsettled by drawdowns, but in the first place, what kind of mindset should one have for EA operation?
Foreign: If a long-term backtest shows a steadily rising graph, I would judge it as highly excellent. However, if you zoom in on a dip, you may see a six-month decline. Therefore, carefully analyze the backtest graphs and data, and operate for at least over a year.
Ebizawa: So, you should pre-imagine the loss patterns and drawdown durations. Now, shifting perspective: Foreign Victory can form a portfolio by itself, but if you combine it with other EAs, what kinds of EA would be good?
Foreign: I think an EA that holds a position with a trail and aims to extend it, basically a single-shot winning type. It also makes capital management easier.
A convenient tool showing RSI moving average and Perfect Order!
Ebizawa: Next, I would like to ask about the indicator “Foreign RSI Perfect Order.” What kind of indicator is it?
Foreign RSI Perfect Order

Foreign: It is made from combining two ideas. One is to create a moving average from RSI values rather than price. Traditional moving averages are derived from price, but this one is derived from RSI values. The other idea is the Perfect Order concept: display moving averages of different periods and regard alignment of their order as a Perfect Order, which indicates a trend is developing.
Ebizawa: So you build a moving average from RSI. What inspired this idea?
Foreign: RSI is noisy depending on the period. To smooth that noise, I decided to average the lines. Oscillators move faster than price, so using divergences can help identify trend reversals earlier.
Ebizawa: How is Foreign RSI Perfect Order used?
Foreign: This indicator does not explicitly tell you trading points. When Perfect Order lines up, dots appear, and there is divergence detection and multi-time-frame analysis, but these features themselves are not signals. It is a general-purpose tool to support your own method. There are countless ways to use it. If you want specific signals, we have developed other indicators that you can use instead.
Ebizawa: In addition to Foreign RSI Perfect Order, you also release various other indicators, right?
Foreign: Besides RSI, we have indicators that extend familiar technical tools like Bollinger Bands and MACD to broaden their functionality. It is our challenge as developers to meet various user needs, so we keep developing and updating. Occasionally we receive requests for specific indicators, and we incorporate those as well.
Ebizawa: Who are your indicators best suited for?
Foreign: Since these are tools to support your own methods, they are best for those who can validate and refine their own skills. Explanations for each indicator are published in the product description, so please check them.
A Developer Who Has Been Watching the Charts Since Middle School—A Digital Native
Ebizawa: Now, focusing on you, the creator, please share your FX background.
Foreign: In terms of investments more broadly, I was inspired by Robert Kiyosaki's “Rich Dad Poor Dad” in middle school, which led me to start looking at charts.
Ebizawa: You looked at charts starting in middle school!
Foreign: Of course, as a middle school student I couldn't trade, but I became aware of this world. In high school, FX became a societal boom. I learned about MT4 and indicators and got obsessed with the idea of making many things myself. I would look at charts on MT4 during class and after school at home.
Ebizawa: You used MT4 in high school!
Foreign: At that time, charts on an iPhone were not available; I connected a PC at home to a VPS because there was no MT4 app.
Ebizawa: Digital natives are formidable. Were there friends who were also into FX?
Foreign: No, I was alone. I studied by myself.
Ebizawa: By the way, what were your middle and high schools like? Are they excellent schools in Japan?
Foreign: They were ordinary middle and high schools. My university was one of those less prestigious ones. After entering college, I took a break from FX for a while and started a business buying and selling luxury brand bags. It was more profitable overseas than in Japan, but the hurdle was my lack of English. So I studied abroad through university. After returning, I met a Polish person and expanded into Poland, which brought us to where we are now. I initially worked in IT as well, because I wanted to be able to build websites for my business.
Ebizawa: Language study and IT employment—all for your business! Aren’t you clever for your age.
Foreign: While working there, I started FX again. I felt MT4 would be compatible, and I’ve always loved FX. Now I work internationally, gathering information in English, so I have ideas for indicators that aren’t well known in Japan. I develop those indicators and EAs and sell them on Gogojan.
Ebizawa: By the way, how did you complete the popular “Foreign Victory” EA?
Foreign: It took about one to two years of logical research. I was also doing discretionary trading, so it was like a combination of verification and development, and then I completed it.
Ebizawa: Living in Foreign, OK to show face, beard like Takashiro, chart native since middle school—your character is very strong. I think you will become even more popular. Lastly, a message to the readers of this article.
Foreign: I have launched a YouTube channel, so please search for “Foreign Warrior” on YouTube and check it out! I plan to upload videos focusing on technical analysis and methods, so please subscribe to the channel as well!
