Hello! This is Lee from GogoJungle.
A hugely popular series: a conversation between our CEO Hayakawa and developers!
“No matter how many courses I buy, I still can’t end up winning...” To you who are lost in a tunnel with no exit. This time, we’re joined by the author of the overwhelmingly supported content “FX Principles and Fundamentals,”DAI-sanand a current trader who overcame “overtrading syndrome” thanks to those teachings and hit a turning point in life,z1pp0-san. Why didn’t previous materials work? How can you gain “confidence in winning”? This time, we get to the heart of it.

DAI
Started investing in 2015. At first, swayed by the promise of “easy money,” he bought expensive courses and signal tools in bulk but got no results, experiencing rock-bottom conditions where he couldn’t even cover course fees. On the brink, he realized the importance of “the common foundation across all materials = Dow Theory,” and after intense training with backtesting software, he established a unique market sense that intuitively grasps where the chart is headed. Now, through content like “FX Principles and Fundamentals” and “Candle Power,” which distills his experience, he passes on a “lifelong weapon” to many traders. Through activities in online communities and indicator development leveraging generative AI, he continues to serve as a guiding light for traders who keep evolving.

1. [Dark Age] Why even a 100,000-yen course couldn’t make me win
| DAI, you’ve been active since 2015, but it wasn’t smooth sailing from the start, was it? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| DAI |
| Not at all. I started with the casual thought, “Maybe I can make money,” but I had no idea what I was doing and bought tools rumored to win without really understanding them. |
| Many beginners go through that phase of thinking if they just get the right strategy, they’ll win. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| DAI |
| Yes. I even joined a 100,000-yen course, but nothing worked. I went through a truly rock-bottom period where I couldn’t even afford the course fees. |
| z1pp0 |
| I was exactly the same. At first I was in a “holy grail hunt,” buying different materials to find what suited me, and I couldn’t get the results I wanted. |
| DAI |
| It’s the same for everyone. But one day I realized: “Dow Theory shows up in every course.” I changed my thinking, wondering if that might be the most important thing of all—that was the start of everything. |
2. [Discovery of the Essence] The “special market sense” found through repeated backtesting
| How did you raise Dow Theory, the “basics,” to a level usable in real trading? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| DAI |
| I practiced thoroughly using a backtesting software called FOREX Tester. At first, the more I tested the more I kept losing, but I still continued every single day, thinking it through on my own. |
| Continuing on your own is no small feat—did you see changes over time? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| DAI |
| At some point, I started to intuitively know without logic: “Ah, there’s a trend now,” or “It’s a range now.” It was the moment I grasped a special sense of the market. |
| z1pp0 |
| I really understand that feeling now. By accumulating daily backtesting, the market gradually becomes visible. DAI’s “Principles and Fundamentals” is literally a content piece that lays out that training method as-is. |
| DAI |
| Right. At the time, there wasn’t a “truly good course” that I wanted as a textbook for myself, so I created this content as a gift to my past self. |
| Turning “knowing” the basics into “being able to do” them. In the end, that’s the shortest path. |

3. [Awakening Moment] Scattered knowledge becomes one through “Principles and Fundamentals”
| Let me ask you as well, z1pp0. I hear things changed dramatically after you encountered “FX Principles and Fundamentals” in October 2024. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| z1pp0 |
| Yes. I had learned that “money management” and “mentality” are important, and I was gradually feeling like I could win, but my core method wasn’t fixed yet. |
| After learning “Principles and Fundamentals” and doing repeated backtesting in that state, what changed? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| z1pp0 |
| As I learned the method and tested daily, I felt the previously scattered knowledge of “money management” and “method” snap together like puzzle pieces! |
| DAI |
| I found your story about reaching a turning point very compelling. It’s exactly the moment when all elements mesh. |
| z1pp0 |
| Yes. I became able to have the conviction, “Ah, I can win with this!” The doubt disappeared, and it was a turning point where the quality of my trading changed at the root. |
| By encountering Principles and Fundamentals, the scattered pieces connected into a single line. Truly an “awakening.” |

4. [Victory of Discipline] The magic of Candle Power that cured overtrading at the root
| Starting in 2025, you’ve also been using “Candle Power.” How has that worked for you? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| z1pp0 |
| To be honest, I had a pretty severe “overtrading syndrome”... I just couldn’t suppress the impulse to enter whenever I saw a chance. |
| DAI |
| Candle Power was developed precisely for people like that. It’s made visually intuitive as an indicator. |
| z1pp0 |
| Exactly—the tool makes the “zones” clear. So a discipline of not considering trades outside the zones naturally forms, and I became able to truly “wait.” |
| By using an indicator, you eliminate unnecessary entries and wait for areas with an edge. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| z1pp0 |
| Yes. Being able to “wait” in my trading feels like the biggest evolution for me. |
Solidify your “method” with Principles and Fundamentals, and uphold “discipline” with Candle Power. It’s truly the strongest combination.
What we learned from the conversation is that even if it seems like a detour, solidifying the foundation called “Principles and Fundamentals” and focusing on one thing is actually the shortest route to success. “Method,” “money management,” and “mentality.” DAI’s content is packed with hints for connecting those previously scattered pieces into one.
In the next newsletter, we’ll dive deeper into the reality of the online community that z1pp0 participates in and more detailed usage techniques. Stay tuned! |
