"Once you have taken a position, you must forget about profits" (from Nippon Keizai BP-sha published 'Day Trading')
From the acclaimed book "Day Trading," subtitled "The Mindset for Winning in the Market."
"Profit is the primary objective, and it should be the primary objective, but once you have taken a position, you must forget about profits."
It's a paradoxical story, isn't it?
It feels like listening to teachings from Laozi or similar figures.
But it is very easy to understand.
The reason you can't extend profits is that the fear of losing unrealized gains grows.
One imagines that some bad person will come and wipe out all of their unrealized gains…
And as a result, it's the so-called chicken take-profit...
The original trading plan disappears somewhere,
and the trades become nothing more than a fear-free way to avoid losing unrealized gains...
When will this issue be resolved (lol)
However, as with these admonitions this time,
when it is stated clearly, it starts to stick with you.
— See you next time.
