What is “Master RCI and Win!”
| Last time, you spoke about the theory and depth of analysis behind RCI. This time, regarding your flagship work“Master RCI and Win!”could you give us an overview once again? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
Sure. This content is a three-part set of “Method + Case Studies + Indicators,” totaling over 1,950 pages of PDFs. It’s not just a theory book—you’ll understand how to use RCI at a practical, real-trading level. |
| It’s truly“research paper level”in volume. Who would you especially recommend it to? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
Of course, those already using RCI—and alsothose who want to systematically learn technical analysiswill find it valuable. Rather than using RCI in isolation, we emphasize the idea ofcombining it with moving averages and other methods. |
| Could you give us a sense of what kind of chart analysis you actually perform? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
As one example, we use the USD/JPY chart from mid-May 2025, drilling down from the monthly to the 1-minute chart, confirming RCI movements and finding entry points along the way.
Here, I’ll touch only briefly on some of the timeframes. |
From higher timeframes to lower timeframes — the flow of market context
| So in practice, how do you proceed with context analysis starting from the higher timeframes? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
First, look at thethree RCI lines on the monthly timeframe. On the monthly chart, the three RCI lines are aligned in a very weak, downward formation. It suggests a scenario where looking for pullback sells on lower timeframesmight be appropriate. (Image below: Monthly) |
| So you first grasp the overall flow on a higher timeframe. What signs do you focus on in the weekly timeframe? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
| On the weekly chart, I watch forlong upper-wick pin barsand other reversal-indicative formations. Then I move to the lower timeframes to look for pullback sells.(Image below: Weekly) |
| I see. So you establish the premise of a“downward bias”through context, and then move to the lower timeframes. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
Exactly. If your context is vague, you lose consistency no matter which timeframe you trade. Firmly grasping the higher-timeframe direction is the first step toward higher-precision analysis. |
A practical example of waiting for a signal to trade
| After confirming direction on the weekly chart, which timeframe do you look at next? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
Since price has risen to around the neckline on the weekly, I skip the daily and go to the 1-hour chart next. Once a weekly reversal hint appears, check the 1-hour for double tops and battles around the neckline. If the three RCI lines are in a weak formation, wait for sell signals to light up. (Image below: 1-hour) |
| Do you enter as soon as a signal appears? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
No. Even if a signal appears, I won’t enter immediately—I confirm alignment across multiple timeframes. For example, if only the short-term RCI on the 4-hour is rising and a pullback-sell signal appears, I carefully gauge the timing. |
| I see, so“waiting”is important. Patiently confirming without rushing. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
Exactly. Even if a signal lights up, if it’s against the higher timeframe direction, it’s a no-entry.Wait until it becomes a “winnable setup.” I believe this is the most important thing in trading. |
| That’s the solid prudence of a theory-driven trader. |

Boost entry accuracy with multiple confluences
| From here, what do you do to further increase precision? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
| I drop down to the 15-minute, 5-minute, and 1-minute charts to confirm multiple confluences. For example, an RCI triple top, a bounce off the EMA200, and a trendline break lining up together form strong confluence. |
| So you make a judgment by looking at those factors in combination. How do you utilize tools? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
I use signal-type indicators like “mBDSR” to check whether signals appear when multiple confluences align. When both the RCI and the signal agree, entry confidence increases dramatically. |
| You look at the flow from higher to lower timeframes and gather evidence to support your hypothesis. |

A spirit of enjoying research leads to improvement
| Finally, please share a message for those who work on FX day in and day out. |

I personally enjoy trading. That’s exactly why observing charts and repeatedly testing is where new discoveries are made. |
| “Enjoying it” is a striking phrase. Do your experiences in research roles also help? |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
| They do. Accumulating data, forming hypotheses, and testing them—this is the same in both science and markets. If you approach FX earnestly, you can improve logically. |
| So “Master RCI and Win!” is the culmination of that exploration. |
| GogoJungle Hayakawa |
| Blacksun |
That’s right. If you’re going to purchase my content, I hope you’ll approach it with passion and curiosity and enjoy the process. I’d be delighted if those interested in RCI could make their own discoveries along the way. |
| Thank you. Enjoying the pursuit of trading—that’s the secret to longevity. |
