“The government, the parliament, the powerful organizations, and the media must all recognize this at all times.” (From Prime Minister Ishiba’s 80-year postwar perspective)
Prime Minister Ishiba's postwar 80-year viewpoint was published yesterday.
On the theme of "Why couldn't we avoid that war,"
it was written on about seven A4 pages.
Similar to an advancement essay for a company, it had that kind of feel.
At that level, I wonder if it would really qualify for a promotion? It might be a bit doubtful (laugh).
"Civilian control, the necessity and importance of proper civil-military relations cannot be emphasized enough. The government, the Diet, the actual power organizations, and the media must always recognizethisas well.
Although Prime Minister Ishiba was teased for his "sticky arguments,"
I got the impression that he was sticky again this time as well.
Personally, I am of the view that the phrase "~must do" does not exist in this world.
The words "~must do" harden one's thinking...
For me, they are a cursed word.
I reaffirmed the curse of being "sticky."
Thank you, Mr. Ishiba, for using the curse word, and good job.
I will continue to live without being "sticky" from now on (laugh).
See you next time.
