"At the right moment, withdraw from the market" (from Nikkei BP’s "Day Trading")
From the chapter “The Path to Becoming a Seasoned Trader,” the section “Rule 11 — Knowing When to Withdraw Gracefully.”
“A seasoned trader understands that it’s not because they earned profits beyond average that they succeed, but because they have limited their losses. Yes, in order to succeed in trading,it is essential to exit the market at the right timingto protect oneself against losses.”
“Gracefully” means, when checked in a dictionary, “being proper and dignified in conduct and manner.”
There you have it.
“Leave the market with your head held high following the rules,” something like that.
When losses pile up, you might feel like trading late at night when there are few participants in the market.
I want to recover it! The stubbornness takes over, and I tend to trade impulsively.
In the past, I used to do unfamiliar scalping,
which only made losses worse.
Accept the losses and get proper rest!
Sleep comes first (laugh).
See you next time.
