MT4 Version“Dow Theory” + Candlestick ActionEURUSD OnlyAutomated Trading EA ☆Main Overview & Features
“Trend reversal in Dow Theory near the initial move to the 3rdzone” “Candlestick Price Action” of two typesEURUSD automates entry & exit for MT4 automated trading program. Basic specs: 1-hour time frame trend-following, day trading to swing trading Pro Trader supervised, and the entire know-how is researched and developed for 6 years and packed into a genuine EA.
|
※ The video content methods differ from the current version. MT4/MT5 Dow Theory method combined video.
♢ Top Trader uses 1-hour time frame trend-following trades based on the market principles underlyingprinciples that automated logic to create a rare EA
1-hour time-frame trend-following has fewer trades, so less flashy than scalping, and historically less prominent as an EA, but this product maintains a balanced trade count.
For those already using scalping EAs, entry times differ, aiding diversification.
This product is a risk-reward (RR) focused EA.
Profit rate is shown in the Risk/Reward Ratio section on this page
Rather than focusing on win rate, this is designed to maximize profitability with a win rate around 30-40% and large average wins, smaller average losses
High-win-rate scalping EAs typically compensate small profits with extremely high win rates (95%), but this product focuses on profit rate (wins larger than losses) rather than win rate.
Thus, while not flashy like ultra-high-win-rate EAs, it avoids large drawdowns and emphasizes steady growth with stability.
♢ Curve-fitting (over-optimization) measures
The past is not over-optimized; the real market conditions are prioritized.
“EA that only performed well for a while and then suddenly fails” such low-quality EAs are not useful.
☆ Product details
① Basics are Dow Theory judgments.
Dow Theory four entry methods
・ EMA20 Granville’s Rule
Pin Bar 24(Range multiplier for wicks: body 2x, wick 4x)
・Dow Theory only
・Dow Theory + 15-minute
♢ The essence of the market is Dow Theory!
Entry is based on trend reversal according to Dow Theory
There are two ways to interpret Dow Theory trend reversals.
Dow Theory① Trend reversal (break of swing low and return high)
Buy: the return high (neckline) breaks above the swing low origin
Sell: the swing high origin (neckline) is broken below by the candlestick body
Dow Theory② Trend reversal (higher highs higher lows / lower highs lower lows)
Buy: higher highs and lows
Sell: lower highs and lows
The entry points targeted by these four methods are
Dow Theory① and Dow Theory② trend reversals both satisfied
or
Dow Theory① neck line break not achieved but Dow Theory② trend reversal with rising/falling highs/lows achieved (including on short-term timeframes)
The consistent entry area that achieves these two patterns over a period is the basic entry point. This is the basic entry point.
Automatically detects higher highs and lower lows
Whether to move buy or sell is decided by the majority sentiment, but a function that automatically discerns whether buyers or sellers are dominating is included.
Why Dow Theory?
If more traders place buy orders, price rises; if more place sell orders, price falls.
Dow Theory is watched by many traders, so if you can interpret it, you can ride the market direction. Of course it isn't 100% accurate, but we attempt to increase the probability of aligned trading directions based on Dow Theory.
In daily terms, “an umbrella on a rainy day, weapons on a battlefield, sunscreen and parasol on UV days” are optimal actions, which even if one attempt fails, you continue to take the same actions without wavering.
Similarly in FX, Dow Theory is one basis.
②6 methods for entry timing diversification.
1. EMA20 Granville's Law
Buy: moving average is rising + lower price touches moving average + close above moving averageSell: moving average is falling + higher price touches moving average + close below moving average
Moving average = MA20 Exponential Moving Average
Exponential Moving Average
This position combines momentum and retracement for entry. It often clears both Dow Theory ① and ②.
2. Dow Theory Standard
Reversal area known as support/resistance transformation, a standard strategy that aims for automated balanced entry and profit-taking to maximize profitability.3. Dow Theory Standard -15M ReversalIn the 1-hour environment, add the 15-minute chart as entry decision.Instead of entering only on the 1-hour chart, wait for a 15-minute chart pullback before entry. Consider the timing of 15-minute Dow Theory reversals as well.4. Dow Theory + Pin Bar 24☆ body:wicks ratio 2x ☆ Wicks-to-wicks ratio: 4xDow Theory + Candlestick Price Action Pin Bar set together as a method.Trading basis: what is a Pin Bar?A candlestick pattern where price moved up or down and then reversed, showing a shift in buying/selling momentum signaling a potential reversal.5. Pin Bar 35 Candlestick Price Action family ☆ Body:wicks ratio 3x ☆ Wicks-to-wicks ratio: 5xFurther increases the Pin Bar ratio and enters on its own without Dow Theory.6. Engulfing (Inside Bar not included)Candlestick Price Action familyEntry is triggered by the appearance of an engulfing pattern.Over-advance control ensures candles that over-extend are excluded from entry.Trading basis: what is an engulfing pattern? Two candles form a pattern where the second's body completely engulfs the first, also called “harami line” or “outside bar,” signaling a major trend reversal.☆ Actual entry exampleAfter the Dow Theory reversal, multiple signals trigger and diversified entries proceed, with entries and exits at different times.♢ While holding positions, the method used to enter is shown in comments.Rather than blindly operating the EA,Once a position is held, display technical indicators on the 1-hour chart to verify, which is enjoyable. If confident, you can stop auto-entry after confirmation and exit manually.Auto-adjust risk/reward functionVictory is decided even before you fight!Risk-reward is calculated precisely before entry, ensuring profit rate can be secured. This means you do not need to calculate risk/reward beforehand, which is a critical element in investing.☆ What is risk-reward strategy? There is a belief that maximum returns do not require a high win rate. For example, with a risk-reward of 3x and a win of 3, loss of 1,three trades: +3, -1, -1 totals to +1; PF becomes 1.5 and even with 33% win rate you can be profitable. This EA focuses on profitability accumulation rather than win rate, and win rate is not something we try to artificially create; it comes as a result.Big-picture recognition(environment recognition) is automatically performedWhat is big-picture recognition?Check a larger time frame than the entry time frame to significantly increase trading precision in FX.This EA includes this big-picture recognition by default. While environment recognition is usually considered essential, flipping through charts repeatedly to verify is time-consuming.This process is greatly reduced and automatically determined by the system based on market conditions. In discretionary trading, it is almost impossible for a human to match; the system can determine optimal actions instantly, allowing sustained superior performance over time.By maintaining high-probability actions over time, profitability is achievable.Since there is no manual charting in the big-picture environment recognition, there is no judgment drift or missed signals. Also, entry is not made everywhere, only in optimal environments where results are more likely, so if judged unfavorable, it will be a “watch and do nothing” defensive state, ensuring disciplined trading.Variable take-profit systemWhen positions meet certain conditions, it enters a profit-following mode. Take-profit targets change automatically according to market conditions.☆ What is variable take-profit?• When profits are limited, take profit may be small, around 1x risk-reward.• In scenarios with potential for profit expansion, target a take-profit of 2x or more and chase profits. Thus profit targets flexibly adapt. Both buy and sell sidesBuys and sells are always allocated to the prevailing market condition. Not relying on bias or gut feeling, but following evidence-based advantages, we switch direction swiftly and focus entries.Example 1Selling in a bear market can turn into a large opportunity.Historically, in a scenario where long positions were the only consideration due to high interest rates and yen strength, large losses occurred. In the above image, a drop occurred, the EA detected the price reversal, and sold, yielding large profits.Example 2Bull market captures the uptrend reversal and optimizes swapsAfter a fall to rise reversal, the EA captures the subsequent up-move after a pullback.Compounding featureAs balance increases from results, lot size increases proportionally. This feature can be used by default. On the chart, the set lot size is displayed so you can see how many lots you’ll have.☆ Settings☆ About stop-lossStop-loss pointsWhen auto trading is enabled, the stop-loss is automatically triggered.Stop-loss serves to “make profits exceed losses” and to prevent unexpected losses. However,・Where should stop-loss be placed?・Stop-loss too close leads to early take-profit.・After entry, if price moves against you and stops out, then returns to profit, it’s frustratingIn this EA, the most balanced stop-loss is automatically placed, removing worry.1. Normal stop-lossAfter entry, performance-weighted stop-loss is automatically placed and functional.Designed to withstand stop-hunting by large investors.2. Trailing stopTrailing profits as time passes or price reverses.3. Time break-evenIf after entry profits rise but then revert near break-even for a position that has not progressed, time-based close is executed to minimize impact.Preserve safety by closing before a possible large loss.♢ Risk managementThis EA is designed to maximize performance, and risks are inherent, but the potential return when overcome is substantial. However, risk exists, and it is not a product that guarantees effortless profits. Please arrange risk management appropriate to your funds in advance.Point ①Position count can be high (10+)may be held at once.Point ②Expected large loss risk per position with 0.1 lot setting is -20,000 yenTo prevent unforeseen losses, adjustments to lot size and maximum positions according to funds should be made☆ Adjust by LOT size☆ Set a maximum number of positionsDefault is diversified entry.Set max positions to 1 to simplify risk management.Setting to 1 simplifies management.Q. When will results appear?A. In real trading, performance is generally similar to tests, but depending on market timing, it may take over 3 months to see results. That said, please consider trying for 3 months.Q. How does it move?Average holding time is about 2 days; sometimes up to nearly 10 days.Note: these are averages from historical data; not guaranteed.☆ There are also negative aspectsWe inform negatives to avoid disappointment after purchase.Overall, losing trades are unavoidable on the path to consistent wins; profits are maximized by expanding gains, and losses happen as part of normal operation; risk must be accepted.☆ Special notes・This EA is developed based on Dow Theory. Actual entry timing is further optimized and limited for profitability.・Chart interpretation varies by individual; decisions on swing lows and return highs can be debated, but please review the publicly available trading history on the page and decide accordingly.☆ Buyers’ voices“It’s a rare EA, but updates have made it even more powerful than before.”“My life has become more enjoyable.”We have received such comments. ☆ Benefits of automationHumans cannot process at the speed of the market; automation handles it instantly・ While you’re at work, doing housework, parenting, traveling, or at important events, it continues to enter and exit trades automatically.・ No need for indicators or alerts Waiting for indicators or alerts can cause delays in entering orders.Even if you receive a notification at night or during tasks, you may not respond promptly. In this EA, it automatically enters and exits at indicator notification points, making it highly efficient—you can simply wake up and check positions in the morning.・ Trades occur during late-night time zones Major overseas markets have hours when Japan is asleep; entering or exiting during those times is practical.・ Don’t miss opportunities It prevents missing entries that would have gained, or missing exits due to timing.・ No need for fine-tuned limit ordersLower likelihood of human mistakes compared with discretionary trading.・ Time efficiency can be achievedYou don’t need to stay glued to the chart; let the system run and focus on daily tasks.・EA can implement logic not possible with simple broker ordersExample: while placing stop-loss with real-time stop orders, you can simultaneously use a candlestick close-based stop, required by Dow Theory, enabling flexible setups for FX mastery, giving traders a distinct advantage.・Control by emotion is eliminatedEven with rules, people often fail to strictly follow them. Frustration leads to impulsive entries or revenge trading. In other words, maintaining composure is key, and automatic entry enforcing rules can solve this problem. Thus, the system monitors areas beyond discretionary coverage, making it suitable for those who want to trade FX but have limited time or are frequently influenced by emotion. This automated trading EA emphasizes consistent, advantageous actions as a fundamental investment style. Please consider this product.☆ This product is also attracting attentionMT4“Swap-focused” Dow Theory Automated Trading EAFor 5 currencies・Swing + Day Trading IncludedInterest rate swaps are skillfully and efficiently earned with a stable focus. 4. Dow Theory + Pin Bar 24
☆
Dow Theory + Candlestick Price Action Pin Bar set together as a method.
Trading basis: what is a Pin Bar?
A candlestick pattern where price moved up or down and then reversed, showing a shift in buying/selling momentum signaling a potential reversal.
5. Pin Bar 35
Candlestick Price Action family
☆ Body:wicks ratio 3x ☆ Wicks-to-wicks ratio: 5x
Further increases the Pin Bar ratio and enters on its own without Dow Theory.
6. Engulfing (Inside Bar not included)
Candlestick Price Action familyEntry is triggered by the appearance of an engulfing pattern.
Over-advance control ensures candles that over-extend are excluded from entry.
Trading basis: what is an engulfing pattern?
☆ Actual entry example
After the Dow Theory reversal, multiple signals trigger and diversified entries proceed,
with entries and exits at different times.
♢ While holding positions, the method used to enter is shown in comments.
Rather than blindly operating the EA,
Once a position is held, display technical indicators on the 1-hour chart to verify, which is enjoyable.
If confident, you can stop auto-entry after confirmation and exit manually.
Auto-adjust risk/reward function
Victory is decided even before you fight!
Risk-reward is calculated precisely before entry, ensuring profit rate can be secured..
This means you do not need to calculate risk/reward beforehand, which is a critical element in investing.
☆ What is risk-reward strategy?
There is a belief that maximum returns do not require a high win rate.
For example, with a risk-reward of 3x and a win of 3, loss of 1,
three trades: +3, -1, -1 totals to +1; PF becomes 1.5 and even with 33% win rate you can be profitable. This EA focuses on profitability accumulation rather than win rate, and win rate is not something we try to artificially create; it comes as a result.
Big-picture recognition(environment recognition)
What is big-picture recognition?
Check a larger time frame than the entry time frame to significantly increase trading precision in FX.
This EA includes this big-picture recognition by default.
While environment recognition is usually considered essential, flipping through charts repeatedly to verify is time-consuming.
In discretionary trading, it is almost impossible for a human to match; the system can determine optimal actions instantly, allowing sustained superior performance over time.By maintaining high-probability actions over time, profitability is achievable.
Since there is no manual charting in the big-picture environment recognition, there is no judgment drift or missed signals.
Also, entry is not made everywhere, only in optimal environments where results are more likely, so if judged unfavorable, it will be a “watch and do nothing” defensive state, ensuring disciplined trading.
Variable take-profit system
When positions meet certain conditions, it enters a profit-following mode. Take-profit targets change automatically according to market conditions.
☆ What is variable take-profit?
• When profits are limited, take profit may be small, around 1x risk-reward.
• In scenarios with potential for profit expansion, target a take-profit of 2x or more and chase profits.
Thus profit targets flexibly adapt.
Both buy and sell sides
Buys and sells are always allocated to the prevailing market condition.
About Forex Automated Trading
What is Forex Automated Trading (MT4 EA)?
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
Trading Types of Forex Automated Trading
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

Risks, Advantages, and Disadvantages of Forex Automated Trading
When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.

Equipment and Environment Needed for Automated Trading Operation
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.

Installation of MT4 and Account Login
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.

How to Install EA on MT4
To set up an EA when you purchase it through GogoJungle, follow the steps below:
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.

About the Size of Trading Lots
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.

0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
