"Dow Theory Fibonacci 38.2" Auto Trading EA

☆Key Overview & Features Oku Traderuses this method frequently,

"Zone near the initial Dow Theory trend reversal to the third wave" is targetedfor automatic entry & exit, an MT4 automated trading program.

Dedicated for simultaneous operation of 5 currencies: USDJPY, EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPUSD.

Setup method:MT4 EA (Expert Advisor) and Indictator installation procedures

-Table of contents-(Click/Tap for explanations)

① Entry rationale isDow Theory
② Entry timing is5 options. Selection is also possible

・Dow Theory High win rate - Quality-first, 5-position timing diversification

③ Macro-view (environment recognition) is automated.
➃ Time-based Logic included
⑤ Swap-focused Mode included

Oku Trader's one-hour time-frame trend-following auto-trading, a rare EA.

The one-hour trend-following with a limited number of trades is less flashy than scalping, so EA products historically didn’t stand out; this product maintains a balanced trade count.

Also, for those already using scalping EAs, entry timing is different, providing diversification of risk.

Per-trade spread/fee share is low, allowing operation even with spreads of 20–30.

Because it mainly uses the 1-hour chart, the per-trade share of spread/fees is lower than in scalping methods, so spreads up to 30 (as shown on MT4) are supported.

Even with brokers offering good value-added services but wide spreads, this can be effectively utilized.Thiscan be used effectively.

① Basic Principle Based on Dow Theory judgments.

To enter based on Dow Theory, the system automatically monitors the 4-hour to 1-hour trend state, the strength of previous impulsive waves, the current price position, and references to past support/resistance lines (including states two to three bars back per Wilder's definition).

Once running, the program starts collecting the information needed to discern Dow Theory.

♢ Entry is based on Dow Theory trend reversal judgments

There are two interpretations of Dow Theory trend reversal.

Dow Theory Trend reversal (pullback low & pullback high break)

Buy: when the candle body closes above the pullback high that starts at the swing low (neckline)

Sell: when the candle body closes below the pullback low at the swing high (neckline)

Dow Theory Trend reversal (higher highs and higher lows / lower highs and lower lows)

Buy: higher highs and higher lows

Sell: lower highs and lower lows

The entry points this EA targets are

Dow Theory① and Dow Theory ② trend reversals both achieved.

Or

Dow Theory② trend reversals achieved (even in short-term timeframes) without Dow Theory ① neck-line break. These two patterns within a defined period form the basic entry area.

This is the basic entry point when these two patterns are achieved over a certain period.

♢ Why Dow Theory?

Dow Theory is followed by a large number of investors, so if you can discern it, you can ride the market’s direction. Of course it’s not 100% accurate, but we attempt to improve the probability of aligned trading direction by grounding decisions in Dow Theory.

In daily life, optimal actions include things like “umbrella on rainy days,” “weapons on the battlefield,” and “sunscreen and parasol for UV”; even if one attempt fails, you keep applying the same approach next time without wavering.

Similarly in FX, Dow Theory as one basis helps achieve profitability by repeatedly engaging in high-edge actions.

5 entry timings for diversification.

The five entry timings target the initial move after a Dow Theory trend reversal (support/resistance reversal). The five timings are prepared for entry.

“Dow Theory High Win-Rate PF-Focused” five-position diversification

Rather than chasing greed, this is a “win-rate-focused” strategy. Even if profits are small, the high win rate and the accumulation of profits can outweigh larger losses, similar to scalping.

Macro View( is automatic

It can monitor multiple charts 24 hours a day, which is its strength.

Furthermore lower-timeframe environments down to 30 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute are monitored by the program.

Discretionary timing is almost impossible to do perfectly; the system can discern it instantly. By continuously adopting high-edge actions as time passes, it aims to monetize.

In macro environment recognition there are no parameter fields, making it fully automatic, so judgment drift, oversights, and mistakes do not occur.

Also, the entry does not happen everywhere even after Dow Theory is achieved; it only enters in optimal environments where results are likely. If the system judges conditions unfavorable, it will enter a defensive state of “pass and do nothing,” creating disciplined, deliberate trading.

Time Theory included

Not only price movement but the horizontal axis (time) is given strong consideration in the design.

In other words, it is not only Dow Theory classification but also when to enter after a trend reversal (the entry window) to capture the initial move that it’s designed to track.

From after the trend reversal, entries are avoided at chart points where too much time has elapsed, or where price has moved up or down too far and energy has been exhausted.

"Enter intensely during the initial trend reversal, and do not enter during the trend stagnation period."

This repetitive pattern enhances the edge.

Swap-Focus Mode included

+ Swap buy/sell direction only can be set freely

Parameter settings can be configured on the EA’s settings screen.

Set the method to "high win-rate type," and you can use it with a setup like “+ swap-only trading direction.”

Example: For USDJPY, set to buy + swap direction only.

This EA, from the perspective of maximizing profitability, accepts negative swaps, so normally both buy and sell are turned on. However, for those who are concerned about negative swaps or who prioritize stability over maximum returns, this feature is provided.

☆ Take profit and stop loss

Take profit points

When a position clears certain conditions, it enters a trailing-profit state. If a certain price range is reached, it is judged to have peaked and closes without trailing profit.

This twofold take-profit method combines trailing profits with peak take-profit.

Stop loss points

When automatic trading is enabled, stop loss is automatically triggered.Stop loss plays crucial roles like "securing profits over losses" and "preventing unforeseen losses.".

In such cases, this EA automatically places stops at the most balanced point, eliminating worry.

After entry, a performance-focused stop loss is automatically placed and functions.

3. Time Break-even

♢ Risk Management

This EA is designed to maximize performance by acknowledging that risk exists and can yield higher returns when overcome.

However

"This is not something anyone can simply set-and-forget."

Point ①

Position count may exceed 10positions held

Initial setting of 0.1 LOT (10,000 units). May hold over 100,000 units

To avoid unforeseen losses, please adjust lot size and maximum number of positions to match your funds.

Set LOT size from acceptable loss (%). Example: For a 1,000,000 base, to cap loss at -50,000 (-5%), set to 0.05 LOT.

☆ Maximum positions

☆ Adjust LOT after results

Example: If you gain 200,000, raise by 0.01 LOT.

☆ Increase LOT as time passes

Example: Since profits remain positive, increase by 0.01 LOT every 30 days.

For first-time testing, we recommend demo testing to grasp the behavior fully.

Q. How long until results appear?

A. In real trading, performance is generally on par with tests, but depending on market conditions, it may take more than 3 months to see results. Conversely, we recommend trying for at least 3 months.

Q. What kind of wins do you get?

The win rate is around 75%, but

we emphasize a risk-reward ratio where total wins exceed total losses. PF is 1.75–2.0.

Average hold time is about 8–12 hours, with occasional holds up to nearly 3 days.

Note: This is based on historical averages and is not guaranteed information.

☆There are also times

We explain even the negative aspects to avoid disappointment after purchase.

Tests and real trading show little difference, and the EA often achieves a string of wins, but there are relatively long drawdown periods waiting for take profit.

If a drawdown causes the 1-hour Dow Theory to break, the 4-hour chart often stops the loss and rebounds, which is common. If the 4-hour is breached, a larger stop loss occurs, but this is an unavoidable negative for overall profitability.

Also, while the 1-hour focus can be viewed as short-term trading, you may sometimes find results not immediately apparent, which can be frustrating.

☆ Special Notes

・This EA was developed based on Dow Theory concepts.

Actual entry timing is further narrowed and optimized toward profitability.

・Even if Dow Theory reverses direction during drawdown, if immediate stop loss would degrade performance, entries may continue.

・Chart interpretation varies by individual; opinions differ on where to designate swing lows/highs for Dow Theory decisions. Please review the published trade history on this page for alignment and consideration before purchasing.

☆ Benefits of automation

・In situations like work, chores, childcare, travel, or important events, entries and exits occur automatically.

・Trades occur automatically during late-night hours. Major overseas markets have hours that fall in Japan’s night; entering or exiting at this time is practically difficult.

・Never miss a chance

・No need to place precise order limits or stop orders.

Compared with discretionary trading, there are fewer mistakes.

・Increases time efficiency

by entrusting operations to the system, you can focus on daily tasks.

The system monitors areas beyond what discretion can cover, making it ideal for those who are FX-curious but lack time, are busy with work, housework, or parenting, and tend to be emotional about trading, wanting to hold positions anyway.

☆ In concluding

Thank you for viewing up to here.

FX is about capturing advantages like “Dow Theory, risk-reward, impulse adjustment waves,” and repeating optimized actions with high probability of success.Focus on highly optimized behaviors to achieve profitability..

However, even with the correct method, many struggle due to emotions and hesitation, often failing to persevere.

Like dice, if you keep rolling, you would have a 66.6% win rate over time, but many people give up after a few misses.

Indeed, if most outcomes were winners, it would be gambling; yet with the right method, staying with it is possible.

But even with a correct method, people may worry about continuing to lose, making it hard to persist.

Moreover, FX offers too many options and too much information, making it hard to know what is best. Have you felt this way?

Personally, I spent five years exploring and testing because there were so many options.

And

by consistently repeating highly advantageous actions, you follow a fundamental investment approach where profit and loss are zigzagged but ultimately grow. Please consider this product.

If you like, we plan to develop additional Dow Theory series signals such as MACD, Parabolic, Ichimoku, etc., in the future♪

About Forex Automated Trading
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.

To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.

[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.

・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.

[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.

・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.

・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.

[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.

・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.

Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
To set up an EA when you purchase it through GogoJungle, follow the steps below:
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.

Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.

The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).

Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.

If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
EAs from GogoJungle can be used with one real account and one demo account per EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.

To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.

When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
If you encounter an error with Web authentication, or if the EA is trading on GogoJungle's forward performance page but not on your own account, there could be various reasons. For more details, please refer to the following link:
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:

1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units

For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Profit Factor: Total Profit ÷ Total Loss
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
