Billionaire Trader's automated 1-hour trend-following buy/sell EA—raretype

The 1-hour trend-following approach has historically had fewer trades and less flashy performance than scalping, but this product maintains a balanced trade count.

Also, for those already using scalping EAs, entry timing differs, providing diversification.

Per-trade spread/fee impact is low,so spreads of 20–30 can still be workable.

Since the focus is on the 1-hour chart, the per-trade spread/fee impact is lower than that of scalping methods, so it supports spreads up to 30 (MT4 display).

Even with brokers offering favorable services but wide spreads, this can be effectively utilized.

①Principle isDow Theory-based judgment.

♢Entry is determined by Dow Theory trend reversal

Dow Theory trend reversals have two approaches

Dow TheoryTrend reversal (break of swing low / return high)

Buy: the return high (neckline) from the lowest point is broken by the candle body

Sell: the price closes below the neckline when the swing high is broken

Dow TheoryTrend reversal (higher highs & higher lows)

Buy: Higher highs / higher lows

Sell: Higher highs / lower lows

The entry points targeted by this EA are

Dow Theory① and Dow Theory ② trend reversals that are both achieved

or

Dow Theory① necklines break not achieved, but Dow Theory ② trend reversals with higher highs and lower lows may be achieved

These two patterns over a certain period form the basic entry areathat serves as the basic entry point.

♢Why Dow Theory?

When more investors place buy orders, price goes up; when more place sell orders, price goes down. The Dow Theory is widely observed, so if you can read it, you can ride the market direction. Of course, accuracy is not 100%, but we attempt to increase the probability of aligning buy/sell directions based on Dow Theory.

Since many investors monitor Dow Theory, mastering it helps align with market movement. Of course, not guaranteed, but we aim to improve success probability by using Dow Theory as a foundation.

In daily terms, just as in daily life, when rain comes you take an umbrella; in war you carry weapons; in sunlight you use sunscreen and a parasol—optimal actions are consistent even after occasional failures.

Similarly in FX,Dow Theory as a foundationis used to,to repeatedly perform advantageous actions with high probability to aim for profitability.

Dow Theory-based trend-following support system (DTS)

♢What is the DTS Support System? (EA version 10 onwards)

Automatically detects higher highs and higher lows. It buys only on rising highs and blocks counter-trend selling, and sells only on falling lows, blocking counter-trend buying.

It does not merely rely on past patterns or test results; it flexibly adapts to actual market movements.

To enter based on Dow Theory, the system automatically evaluates trends from 4-hour to 1-hour timeframes, detects momentum of prior waves, references current price position, and consults past support/resistance lines.

The system continuously monitors the states of 2–3 candles ago (as per Wilder's definition).

Once running, the program begins collecting data to discern Dow Theory conditions.

8Methods Entry timing is diversified. You can also choose your preferred method.

After Dow Theory trend reversal, six methods are prepared for entry timing (to capture pullback reversals).

1.「EMA20 Granville's Rule」

Buy: Moving average is rising + the low touches the moving average + close is above the moving average

Sell: Moving average is falling + the high touches the moving average + close is below the moving average

Exponential Moving Average

(Exponential Moving Average)

This entry position combines momentum and pullbacks. It often clears both Dow Theory ① and ②.

MACD

2.MACD cross with signal

Parameters:Short-term EMA12, Long-term EMA26, Signal9

Non-identical timing EMA momentum systems' signals mutually correlate to yield strong entry performance.

5.Candlestick price action

Image: Actual auto-entry scenario

Engulfing price action on candlesticks triggers the entry position.

☆ Engulfing (strong) meaning?

The candle initially moves opposite, then reverses and the previous two highs/lows are breached by the prior close.

6. Candlestick price action

「Spike High・Low」

After a Dow Theory trend reversal, a candlestick price-action turning signal produces a spike, triggering an entry position.

☆ Spike foot (Low/High) meaning

A long upper wick or lower wick on a candle indicating a turning signalappears.

7. Parabolic

Parameter: 0.02; bullish/bearish

Parabolic (Parabolic SAR) is a technical indicator used to visually determine trend direction and reversal points.

Developed by J. Welles Wilder Jr. as a trend-following indicator.

It aligns with Dow Theory's emphasis on higher highs and higher lows, hence adopted.

Displaying Parabolic can create an impression of high win-rate, but in practice it is difficult to profit from it alone.

The reason is similar to other indicators: when used in isolation, big-picture recognition may be insufficient, or entries near tops/bottoms may occur for various reasons.

This EA uses Parabolic in combination with Dow Theory from multiple angles, applying it only in situations where profitability is likely, thereby enhancing Parabolic's effectiveness.

7.ADX(DMI)

Period: 14 Parameter: ADX 15 or higher ADX 28 or lower

ADX (Average Directional Index) measures how strong the trend is.

It focuses on the momentum or strength of the trend.

Composed of DMI (Directional Movement Index)

Used with \"+DI\" (upward momentum) and \"-DI\" (downward momentum)

Key feature is that it not only provides buy/sell signals but also includes ADX indicating trend strength.

Settings with ADX above threshold help ride trend momentum and avoid ranges.

Settings with ADX below threshold help prevent overheated trends and reversals.

♢Each method can be turned on/off

※If methods are limited, its trading frequency for the off methods will decrease accordingly.

☆Actual entries with the 8 methods

After Dow Theory reversal, various famous indicators trigger signals to diversify investment,

and entries/exits occur at different timings.

(In the higher edition all methods activate

When a position is held, a comment shows which method entered the position.

♢ Comment display proves the EA is well-programmed

Rather than operating the EA vaguely,

once a position is held, displaying technical indicators on the 1-hour chart for verification is enjoyable..

※Those with confidence can stop auto-entry after confirmation and close positions manually.

Big-picture recognition(

♢What is Big-Picture Recognition?

Trading direction should align with a larger timeframe than the entry timeframe to significantly improve trading accuracy. This is the fundamental idea behind FX trading.

For example, even if the entry timeframe suggests a buy, if a larger timeframe is moving bearish, one would be swept into the downward flow, so alignment is pursued.

In this EA, this big-picture recognition is standard and automatically monitors the 4-hour and daily situations relative to the 1-hour timeframe. The system can monitor multiple charts 24/7, which is a strong point.

Environment recognition is essential, but manually switching charts to check can be time-consuming; this system reduces the effort and automatically discriminates according to market conditions.

Moreover, the lower-timeframe environments such as 30m, 10m, 5m, and 1m are monitored as well. This is programmed in.

Discretion (your own timing) cannot cover this scope, and the system can instantly discern and consistently take advantage of high-confidence actions over time to aim for profitability.

Big-picture environment recognition has no parameter fields and is fully automatic, so there is no judgment drift, misses, or mistakes.

Also, even if Dow Theory is achieved, entries are not made everywhere; only in environments where results are likely are entries taken, so if the situation is judged unfavorable, a "pass/no action" defensive state is entered to maintain disciplined trading.

Variable Take-Profit System

Positions meet certain conditions and enter a trailing-profit state. Take-profit targets vary with market conditions.

☆What is variable take profit?

・When profits are likely to expand, target 2:1 or higher risk/reward to pursue larger profits.

Thus take-profit targets flexibly adapt.

☆Maximum take-profit settlement
When a certain price range is reached, it is judged as a peak and settles without trailing..

Normally, take-profit is achieved via trailing profit and peak take-profit.

Time Theory Included

Not only price movement up and down, but the horizontal time axis is strongly considered.

In addition to Dow Theory determinations, entry timing after trend reversals is designed to capture the initial momentum within a defined window.

From the time of the trend reversal onwards, the system seeks to avoid entries at chart points where the move has extended too long or energy has been exhausted, whether the price is rising or falling.

"Enter intensively at the initial momentum of the trend and do not enter during the trend stagnation period."

A mechanism to increase edge through repetition is implemented.

5 currencies as one, enabling both buy and sell directions

With five currencies combined as one, profitability improves, and the lack of investment opportunities is offset, delivering a powerful risk distribution effect.Further, buy and sell adapt to market conditions and global events, continually gravitating toward the favorable side.

Rather than relying on preconceived notions or gut feel, act according to a proven edge—“buy in uptrends and sell in downtrends”—and continuously adapt to the market.

Swap-focused mode included

+Swaps buy/sell direction can be freely set

Settings can be configured in the EA parameters screen.

Set the method to "High Win Rate" type and use only "+Swap buy direction" or similar as needed.

Example: For USDJPY, set to Buy + Swap direction only.

This EA permits negative swap for maximizing profits; normally both buy and sell are ON. However, for those concerned about negative swap or who prioritize stability over maximum return, this feature is provided.

*Settings are optional, but this EA achieves maximum performance by earning profits from both buying and selling; if you disable either side, trading frequency decreases.

Stop loss placement is designed to be balanced and automatic, reducing management burden.

☆Loss limits (stop loss) and risk management

With auto-trading active, stop-loss is automatically triggered.

However,

• You may not know where to place a stop loss.

These concerns are common, but this EA places stop loss at the most balanced level automatically, removing the worry.

1. Normal Stop Loss

After entry, the stop loss is automatically placed with performance in mind and it functions accordingly.

2. Trailing Stop

3.Time Break-Even.Time Break-Even

If after entry the price moves favorably but then returns toward break-even and time passes, the system may close positions to prevent further risk, minimizing potential damage.

♢Risk Management

This EA is designed to maximize performance, and risk is accepted as a necessary factor for high returns. However, due to its nature, risk always exists and is not a "set-and-forget" system.

Please conduct pre-emptive risk management to suit your circumstances.

Point 1

Positions may exceed 10at times

Initial settings of 0.1LOT (10,000 units) may hold more than 100,000 units

Potential large loss risk at expected large losses is -100,000 ~(-10%)

To avoid unforeseen losses, adjust lot size and the maximum number of positions in accordance with your funds.

☆Determine lots from allowable loss (%)

Example: With 1,000,000 margin, to limit loss to -50,000 (-5%), set 0.05LOT.

☆Management method: set maximum number of positions.

Example: Set maximum positions to 1 to cap holdings at 1 position (10,000 units).

☆Adjust LOT size based on outcomes.

Example: When +200,000, increase by 0.01LOT.

☆Increase LOT size over time as results accumulate.

Example: If positive, increase by 0.01LOT every 30 days.

For initial understanding, we recommend testing on a demo first.

Q. How long until results are seen?

Q. What kind of win rate do you achieve?

☆There are times like this

We assume long-term winning, and tests closely match real results; EA tends to have steady wins but the time to realization can be longer than expected.

Even if the 1-hour Dow Theory is breached during drawdown, the 4-hour chart often re-bounces as a last line of defense.

If the 4-hour is breached, larger stop losses can occur, but this is a necessary downside to maintain overall profitability. You must accept the risk.

However, stop losses are well executed, so you won't accumulate excessive drawdown; see the maximum drawdown in the metrics.

Also, even on the 1-hour chart, this is still a form of short-term trading; compared to ultra-short-term 5-minute charts, it can take time to see results, which may feel frustrating at times.

☆Special Notes

・If a Dow Theory reversal occurs during drawdown, but stopping immediately would reduce performance, entries may continue.

・Chart interpretation varies by individual; disagreements on which points constitute lower lows or higher highs may arise. Please review the public buy/sell history on this page and consider before purchasing.

☆Automation benefits

Humans cannot process within the same speed; automated processing is instantaneous.

・Even amid work, chores, parenting, travel, and important events, automated entries and settlements continue.

・No need for indicator alerts

Even if alerts are received, market moves and may be missed if acting manually.

This EA automatically enters/exits when indicator alert points are reached, making it highly efficient—the morning check suffices.

・Trading occurs during late-night hoursIn overseas markets, nighttime in Japan occurs; entering or exiting during this time is impractical.

・Don't miss opportunities

・No need to place limit orders or stop orders precisely.

Compared to discretionary trading, the system reduces human error.

・Time efficiency

This system monitors aspects that cannot be fully covered by discretion, making it suitable for those who are interested in FX but lack time, have busy schedules, or tend to trade emotionally.

☆In conclusion

FX is about executing highly optimized actions based on features such as Dow Theory, risk-reward, and propulsion-adjustment waves to gain an edge. All you need to do is implement these actions consistently.

However, discretionary (your timing) often leads to emotional hesitation; many struggle to persevere despite finding a correct method.

"Follow the rules and win overall"

Indeed, if you play a strategy with little chance of success, you are likely to lose; however, even with the correct approach, persisting can be difficult due to fear of continued losses.

With this automated EA, you won't need to invest vast time in FX research.

repeatedly applying high-edge actions toward consistent profits will guide you toward a fundamental investing approach—progressing toward profitability with a smooth equity curve.

About Forex Automated Trading
Forex Automated Trading refers to trading that is automated through programming, incorporating predetermined trading and settlement rules. There are various methods to conduct automated trading, but at GogoJungle, we deal with Experts Advisors (hereinafter referred to as EA) that operate on a trading platform called MT4.
There are various types of EAs (Expert Advisors) for different trading types that can be used on MT4.
Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.

To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)

When engaging in Forex, there are risks in automated trading just as there are in discretionary trading.
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.

[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.

・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.

[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.

・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.

・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.

[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.

・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
The requirements for operating automated trading (EA) on MT4 are as follows:
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
If you open an account with a forex broker that supports MT4, you can use MT4 as provided by that forex broker. MT4 is a stand-alone type of software that needs to be installed on your computer, so you download the program file from the website of the FX company where you opened the account and install it on your computer.

Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
To set up an EA when you purchase it through GogoJungle, follow the steps below:
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.

Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.

The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).

Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.

If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
EAs from GogoJungle can be used with one real account and one demo account per EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.

To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.

When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
If you encounter an error with Web authentication, or if the EA is trading on GogoJungle's forward performance page but not on your own account, there could be various reasons. For more details, please refer to the following link:
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
In Forex trading, the size of a lot is usually:

1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units

For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Profit Factor: Total Profit ÷ Total Loss
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
