[Trend Following][Counter Trend][Greedy] Multi-Logic No indicators used, works well in both trending and ranging markets, safe & secure & stable
GOLD |
| |||||||||
The logic is completely original, not using any common indicators (standard MT4, commercial, or free online). Use your favorite logic as much as you like freelyIt disperses not only opposite logics like trend following and counter trend, but also their respective periods of strength and weakness. This multi-logic system is characterized by a high likelihood of avoiding extreme performance changes (especially deterioration).About BacktestingSince different lot sizes are set for each logic in the multi-logic system, they are displayed separately. This is not due to compound interest.Supported Currencies"GOLD" can also be used for "XAUUSD" due to different broker notations. Even if there are extensions like "USDJPY.jp," they can be used without issue.Regarding MT4 GMT TimeFor maximum performance, it is recommended to use "GMT+2" (6 hours behind Japan time), which is the most widely used among FX brokers.

01. Trend Following - Consecutive Candles If a large number of bullish or bearish candles appear within a certain period, enter a trend-following trade.
The criteria include: consecutive same-direction candles without interruption over a certain number of times, or during a fluctuation within a certain range, where the majority trend is not necessarily consecutive.
Notably, GOLD trades significantly more often than other currencies. The base isLong Consecutivewhich was awarded in the EA category in 2022. |
|
02. Trend Following - Trend Following If after a trend, there is a stagnation period, and then a restart, enter a trend-following trade.
The criteria include: a pullback or rebound within about half a day, and breaking the recent high or low.
Other features include a relatively higher overall trading frequency compared to other logics, providing stability. |
|
|
|
03. Trend Following - Rapid Price Fluctuation Enter when, within a short period, the price exceeds a certain percentage of the average daily range over the past month.
This logic uses an exceptional limit based on the magnitude of sudden changes at close.
Therefore, profit-taking ranges are large, and the win rate is relatively low (most currencies are below 50%, unlike other logics which are mostly above 50%). |
|
04. Trend Following - Resistance Line Break Enter on a break of a recent high or low.
The criteria include: the recent high-low range over the past month being 2 to 5 times the average daily range.
Other features include a higher overall trading frequency than other logics, offering stability.
The base isTotsugeki
|
|
|
|
05. Counter Trend - Wick & Engulfing Candle Enter when a reversal signal pattern, such as a long wick or engulfing candle, exceeds a certain percentage of the average daily range over the past month.
Other features include shorter holding periods, higher win rates, and significant trading frequency in GOLD compared to other currencies.
The base isByoo~~~n

|
Common to All Logics ▀ During the dollar-buying time of the day, avoid dollar-selling trades.
▁ Avoid trades that expand the gap (gap) that is not yet filled.
▂ Avoid opposite trades based on medium-term trend judgment. |
Logic (Close)
Closes are not performed based on the same logic as at open. Instead, stop-loss, break-even, and limit (trail-type) are automatically set based on the currency pair's price. (Example: USDJPY 100 yen = 100 pips, 130 yen = 130 pips) To prevent logic expiration, closing due to holding time exceeding limits (time trail) is also set. Of course, conditions are adjusted for each logic and currency.
Usage Method
Easy Setup
|
Simply attach to the 1H chart of the target currency, and basicallyno parameter adjustments are necessary. After attaching, please check the applied lot size (backtest recommended).
|
|
Parameter Settings
▀ Use of LogicLogic Chaincan be disabled by setting to false. Disabled logic will display "---," and active logic will show the lot size. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
▁ Lot Size AdjustmentDefault lot sizes are set internally (blue frame) for each logic. These internal lot values are adjusted to keep:Drawdown below 10%andLoss per single trade below 3%When entering the amount of margin to operate, the recommended lot size per margin amount(blue frame, ratio-based)Lot |
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
▂ Limiter SettingsMaintenance MarginEnter the amount of margin you want to maintain, and new trades will be avoided if the margin falls below this amount. If set to 0 initially, no restrictions are applied. Even if the margin drops below the specified amount, existing positions will not be forcibly closed. ▃ Position Quantity SettingIf the maximum number of positions isinitially 1, then one position per logic.02 or more |
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
▄ Safety SettingsAvoid Carryover during Year-end and WeekendsIf set to true (default), new trades are avoided from the time just before the weekend close. Positions held during the period are carried over to the next week regardless of settings. Trading is skipped from Christmas to New Year’s. If positions are held, they are closed normally. |
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The ⅛ chart display corresponds to "DefenseLine = Maintenance Margin," "Positions = Max Positions," and "Safety = Avoid Carryover during Year-end and Weekends."
Position Management
▀ Martingale
No dangerous behavior such as adding positions after losses accumulate. One position per logic; if other logics are active later, they can open new positions, but it is also possible to set to only one position overall.
▁ Hedging
Since the logic includes both trend following and counter trend, hedging may occur. Depending on the broker used, positions may be closed instead of hedged.
▂ Magic Number
The magic number is the reference, and the logic number (01~) is appended to the last two digits. (Example: If the magic number is7777, then777701or777705
▃ Currency Pair and Magic Number
Even with the same magic number, different currency pairs are managed separately. (Possible combinations include: USDJPY buy, EURUSD sell, USDJPY buy, etc.)
Recommended Trading Method
Instead of automatic lot adjustment based on capital (compound interest), manual fixed lot operation is recommended. During good periods, profits can grow explosively with fixed lot, but during poor periods, compound interest may lead to gradual decline, unlike fixed lot which can be more stable.
With compound interest, winning increases lot size, losing decreases it, then winning again increases it, losing again decreases it, creating a potential "infinite loop" if timing is bad. Fixed lot with a 1.5-2x increase when profits are achieved, then maintaining the lot size even after losses, is more desirable. The operation steps are simply:Change TradeMargin when you feel like it(by entering the capital amount). Lot sizes for each logic automatically increase or decrease uniformly (no need to set each one individually). Useful when running multiple EAs or wanting to overall reduce lot sizes.
Frequently Asked Questions
The forward test results do not match actual trading.
Different brokers have different rates, so discrepancies in entry points are normal. Sometimes there are no entries during profit, or entries during losses; over multiple trades, the differences tend to even out, so please rest assured.
Cannot test with micro lots.
Depending on the broker, handling differs between "real account," "demo account," and "strategy tester." Especially in the strategy tester, support may be lacking, often resulting in lot sizes rounded up to 0.1 lots. If needed, increase the margin by ten times to accommodate.

Profile
Originally a Japanese cuisine chef (Itamae), known as "Cannibal." Currently, a disqualified, unqualified (no certifications, no formal training) temporary worker from the Lost Generation. disqualified, unqualified (no certifications, no formal training) temporary worker from the Lost GenerationA bottom-tier, worst-case scenario person who might even get thrown knives by marriage-hunting women (seriously). Became a full-time trader temporarily, but the method was swing trading with spreads, so it was boring (laughs). Developed an EA out of laziness, despite being a programming novice. Aiming to develop more advanced EAs, I plan to return to society and become a full-fledged programmer and system engineer. Currently proficient in not only MQL but also Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, SQL, VBA, Shell scripting, and more. Even with my lowly skills, I can now, outside of trading, choose not to work at "black companies" and avoid working with or near unintelligent people, feeling happy to contribute to society through activities like blood donation. Of course, I continue to research and develop high-quality indicators & EAs, leveraging both IT and trading insights! My motto is,"Don't demand from others! Change yourself!"
EA Principles
▀ Stable Progression
Focusing solely on numerical performance leads to over-optimization and unstable operation when multiple instances run. Therefore, I prioritize a smooth profit-loss graph. To increase the reliability of the logic, I aim for a higher number of trades, but not excessively so. I also try to keep win rates high, but avoid strategies like "big win, big loss" that can cause catastrophic drawdowns due to very high win rates.
▁ Preventing Over-Optimization
Tweaking parameters to force wins for specific currencies (unjustified fine-tuning with meaningless numbers) is over-optimization and a shortcut to failure. I avoid extreme performance differences by maintaining a reasonable distance between parameter sets, not just aiming for the absolute best performance. In case of opening trades・NG example: USDJPY RSI14 and EMA21, EURUSD RSI13 and EMA23 ・OK example: Both USDJPY and EURUSD use RSI14 and EMA21 Although the actual EA does not use indicators like RSI, this is just for illustrative purposes. I do not use unjustified fine-tuning like EMA43 or overly precise adjustments like 0.0001.In case of closing tradesFor example, USDJPY might have "Stop 10, Limit 15, Hold 6 hours," while EURUSD might have "Stop 12, Limit 10, Hold 8 hours," reflecting the typical price range and time characteristics of each currency. I do not use arbitrary values like "Stop 12.42, Limit 9.741, Hold 5 hours 21 minutes."
Finally... Due to supply and demand, prices will increase proportionally to sales volume, so please understand this.

Just like discretionary trading, there are those that decide trading and settlement timings by combining indicators, those that repeatedly buy or sell at certain price (pips) intervals, and trading methods that utilize market anomalies or temporal features. The variety is as rich as the methods in discretionary trading.
To categorize simply,
・Scalping (Type where trades are completed within a few minutes to a few hours),
・Day Trading (Type where trades are completed within several hours to about a day),
・Swing Trading (Type where trades are conducted over a relatively long period of about 1 day to 1 week)
・Grid/Martingale Trading (Holding multiple positions at equal or unequal intervals and settling all once a profit is made. Those that gradually increase the lot number are called Martingale.)
・Anomaly EA (Mid-price trading, early morning scalping)
However, a substantial advantage of automated trading is its ability to limit and predict risks beforehand.
[Risk]
Inherent to forex trading are the trading risks that undeniably exist in automated trading as well.
・Lot Size Risk
Increasing the lot size forcibly due to a high winning rate can, in rare instances, depending on the EA, lead to substantial Pips loss when a loss occurs. It is crucial to verify the SL Pips and the number of positions held before operating with an appropriate lot.
・Rapid Market Fluctuation Risk
There are instances where market prices fluctuate rapidly due to index announcements or unforeseen news. System trading does not account for such unpredictable market movements, rendering it incapable of making decisions on whether to settle in advance or abstain from trading. As a countermeasure, utilizing tools that halt the EA based on indicator announcements or the VIX (fear index) is also possible.
[Benefits]
・Operates 24 hours a day
If there is an opportunity, system trading will execute trades on your behalf consistently. It proves to be an extremely convenient tool for those unable to allocate time to trading.
・Trades dispassionately without being swayed by emotions
There is an absence of self-serving rule modifications, a common human tendency, such as increasing the lot size after consecutive losses in discretionary trading or, conversely, hastily securing profits with minimal gains.
・Accessible for beginners
To engage in Forex trading, there is no prerequisite to study; anyone using system trading will achieve the same results.
[Disadvantages]
・Cannot increase trading frequency at will
Since system trading operates based on pre-programmed conditions, depending on the type of EA, it might only execute trades a few times a month.
・Suitability may vary with market conditions
Depending on the trading type of the EA, there are periods more suited to trend trading and periods more suited to contrarian trading, making consistent results across all periods unlikely. While the previous year might have yielded good results, this year's performance might not be as promising, necessitating some level of discretion in determining whether it is an opportune time to operate.
・MT4 (MetaTrader 4. An account needs to be opened with a Forex company that offers MT4.)
・EA (A program for automated trading)
・The operating deposit required to run the EA
・A PC that can run 24 hours or a VPS (Virtual Private Server), where a virtual PC is hosted on a cloud server to run MT4.
Additionally, there are both demo and real accounts available. You can experience trading with virtual money by applying for a demo account. After opening a real account, you select the connection server assigned by the Forex broker, enter the password, and log in to the account.
When you deposit money into your account using the method specified by the forex broker, the funds will be reflected in your MT4 account, and you can trade.
Firstly, download the purchased EA file from your My Page on GogoJungle. You will download a zip (compressed) file, so right-click to extract it and retrieve the file named ‘◯◯◯ (EA name)_A19GAw09 (any 8 alphanumeric characters).ex4’ from inside.
Next, launch MT4 and navigate to ‘File’ → ‘Open Data Folder’ → ‘MQL4’ → ‘Experts’ folder, and place the ex4 file inside. Once done, close MT4 and restart it. Then, go to the upper menu ‘Tools’ → ‘Options’, and under ‘Expert Advisors’, ensure ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’ are checked, then press OK to close.
The necessary currency pair and time frame for the correct operation of the EA are specified on the EA sales page. Refer to this information and open the chart of the correct currency pair time frame (e.g., USDJPY5M for a USD/Yen 5-minute chart).
Within the menu navigator, under ‘Expert Advisors’, you will find the EA file name you placed earlier. Click to select it, then drag & drop it directly onto the chart to load the EA. Alternatively, you can double-click the EA name to load it onto the selected chart.
If ‘Authentication Success’ appears in the upper left of the chart, the authentication has been successful. To operate the EA, you need to keep your PC running 24 hours. Therefore, either disable the automatic sleep function or host MT4 on a VPS and operate the EA.
If you want to use it with an account other than the authenticated one, you need to reset the registered account.
To reset the account, close the MT4 where the Web authentication is registered, then go to My Page on GogoJungle > Use > Digital Contents > the relevant EA > press the ‘Reset’ button for the registration number, and the registered account will be released.
When the account is in a reset state, using the EA with another MT4 account will register a new account.
Also, you can reset the account an unlimited number of times.
→ Items to Check When EA is Not Operating
1 lot = 100,000 currency units
0.1 lot = 10,000 currency units
0.01 lot = 1,000 currency units
For USD/JPY, 1 lot would mean holding 100,000 dollars.
The margin required to hold lots is determined by the leverage set by the Forex broker.
If the leverage is 25 times, the margin required to hold 10,000 currency units of USD/JPY would be:
10000*109 (※ at a rate of 109 yen per dollar) ÷ 25 = 43,600 yen.
・Risk-Return Ratio: Total Profit and Loss during the period ÷ Maximum Drawdown
・Maximum Drawdown: The largest unrealized loss during the operation period
・Maximum Position Number: This is the maximum number of positions that the EA can theoretically hold at the same time
・TP (Take Profit): The set profit-taking Pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・SL (Stop Loss): The set maximum loss pips (or specified amount, etc.) in the EA's settings
・Trailing Stop: Instead of settling at a specified Pips, once a certain profit is made, the settlement SL is raised at a certain interval (towards the profit), maximizing the profit. It is a method of settlement.
・Risk-Reward Ratio (Payoff Ratio): Average Profit ÷ Average Loss
・Hedging: Holding both buy and sell positions simultaneously (Some FX companies also have types where hedging is not allowed)
