【9/15 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good job today! Alright, let's do some Dollar-Yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 147.45. This morning it started around 147.55, but today is Respect for the Aged Day in Tokyo, so markets are closed; it has been a relatively calm start to the week, hasn’t it?
This week, FOMC meeting in the middle of the week and the Bank of Japan monetary policy announcement at the end of the week are on the docket, creating a cautious mood. It looks like the market will hand off to overseas hours at roughly the same level as the morning.
As we move into overseas hours, we want more volatility…
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 “U.S. NY Fed Manufacturing Index” release
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Liberal Democratic Party presidential race
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will focus on moves around each market open, plus the moves after the 21:30 U.S. NY Fed Manufacturing Index release to accumulate profits. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” I think following the plan should be fine.
Additionally, the short-only 15-minute scalps show somewhat stronger dollar-selling pressure due to remarks like President Trump’s expectation of a significant rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve, so there should be opportunities. If we can sell around the mid-147 yen level, we will enter a position.
Thank you for your continued support today!
