【9/5 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Now, let's get into USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 148.25. The pair started the morning around 148.45, but during Tokyo time the momentum from the late New York session yesterday carried over, showing a slightly stronger trend for selling dollars and buying yen. The intraday low for today in Tokyo time was just over 148.10 yen.
From there it retraced a bit and, about 20 pips below the morning level, is likely to transition to the overseas session.
With July’s domestic real wages unexpectedly turning positive for the first time in seven months, expectations of additional Bank of Japan rate hikes have somewhat increased, which may weigh on USD/JPY.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Moves around the 16:00 London market open
● Moves after the 21:30 US employment data release
● Moves around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalp aims to accumulate profits from the market moves around open times and the moves after the 21:30 U.S. employment report. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalp that specializes in short selling tends to tilt toward yen buying as expectations for BOJ rate hikes rise somewhat, so there should be opportunities. If we wait for a slight pullback and see the mid-148 range as a selling level, we’ll enter. However, tonight with the “U.S. employment data” due, there may not be large moves until the release…
Then, thank you as always for your continued support!
