【Points for 9/2 USD/JPY scalping】
Good work today! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview during Tokyo hours today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 148.05. This morning it started around 147.15, but during Tokyo hours the 10-year Japanese government bond auction performed well (yields fell), and Vice Governor Nagano showed a somewhat cautious stance on rate hikes, leading to a one-sided move in selling the yen.
From the morning level, it looks like about a 90-pip rise will carry over to the overseas session. I suppose the entry would be after this rise settles down for the moment.
Today, the U.S. market is in a holiday-shortened week; if the U.S. ISM Manufacturing Index worsens, there could be a reversal in momentum.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open at 16:00
● Movements around the New York market open at 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the release of the ISM Manufacturing Index at 23:00
—–
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
For tonight’s 1-minute bar scalping, the idea is to accumulate profits from movements around each market open, plus actions after the 23:00 ISM Manufacturing Index release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalping, which is short-side only, tends to lean toward a weaker yen due to the favorable 10-year JGB auction and Nagano’s cautious stance on rate hikes, so don’t push too hard today. If there’s a chance, it would be after U.S. data releases.
Now, we’ll be starting the overseas session shortly!
