Dollar/Yen moves with little direction, hovering around 147 yen.

【9/1Market Overview

Tokyo time, USD/JPY rose to as high as 147.38 due to dollar buying driven by domestic real demand at the start of the month, but then eased to147.38yen, 146.78yen. In European hours, the dollar/yen retraced and moved back to around147yen but without a clear trend. In New York time, U.S. markets were closed for Labor Day, so trading was subdued. USD/JPY remained in a narrow range around the147yen area.
