Ripples CEO Takes the Stage at the Davos Conference
On January 24, at Davos, during a CNBC-hosted panel discussion,
Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse, along with Jeff Schumanche of BCG Digital Ventures, spoke about the future of the virtual currency and blockchain industry.
As the discussion progressed, Ripple's Brad Garlinghouse addressed the future of Bitcoin as follows.
Brad Garlinghouse
Current Bitcoin shows limitations in scaling and the Proof of Work model, but many developers are working to address these issues, so there is a possibility of improvement and wider adoption in the future.
Therefore, it cannot be said that Bitcoin's value will drop to zero.
Personally, I think Bitcoin has a real chance to succeed, and as Glen said, Bitcoin could serve as a means of “store of value.”
However, Ripple is progressing development based on XRP.
This is because XRP scales far better than Bitcoin and can process transactions faster than Bitcoin.
As is widely known, Brad Garlinghouse emphasized that, when comparing BTC and XRP with a focus on payment functionality, XRP unquestionably has the edge.
