【8/26 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let’s do Dollar/Yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the Dollar/Yen is around 147.75. This morning it started around 147.70, but during the Tokyo session it plunged after President Trump announced the dismissal of Cook from the Fed Board. It was pushed down to around 147.00 before 10:00 Japan time.
However, once selling subsided, Cook’s resignation from the Fed Board was completely denied, resulting in a classic “whipsaw” move. It looks like it will hand over to the overseas session around the same level as in the morning.
After passing the Jackson Hole meeting, one would think the summer doldrums are over, but the Dollar/Yen hasn’t found a clear direction yet. It’s tricky...
Now, the points for tonight's Dollar/Yen scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 16:00
● Movements after the US durable goods orders release at 21:30
● Movements around the New York market open near 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the US Consumer Confidence Index release at 23:00
—–
● Be cautious about headlines related to the Trump administration in the US
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping envisions accumulating profits from movements near each market open plus the 21:30 durable goods orders and 23:00 consumer confidence index releases. Users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club” should handle these as per theory without issues.
Also, for the 15-minute chart scalping which is short-only, even after the Jackson Hole meeting there’s no clear direction, so today we should not push too hard.
With that, overseas time will start shortly!
【8/26 Major US Indicators & Events】
●21:30 US Durable Goods Orders / Durable Goods, excluding transportation
●21:30 US Barkin: remarks from the Richmond Fed President (no voting rights)
—–
●23:00 US Consumer Confidence Index
—–
●26:00 US 2-year Treasury Auction
—–
Dollar/Yen scalpers should avoid entering right before indicators or events; watch the timing carefully.
