Good job everyone! Now, let's go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around the 147.70 level. The pair started around 147.75 in the morning, but during Tokyo time, S&P kept the U.S. government bond rating at AA+, which caused slight fluctuations; other than that, it largely stayed range-bound.
With the weekend Jackson Hole conference and Powell’s speech at 23:00 JST on the 22nd, USD/JPY is in a difficult trading environment.
It seems a nearly similar level to the morning will be handed off to overseas trading. Will USD/JPY remain steady around the 147 yen area during overseas hours today as well?
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements near the London market open around 16:00
● Movements after the US housing starts release at 21:30
● Movements near the New York market open around 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)

● Be cautious of remarks from U.S. officials
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
For this evening’s 1-minute chart scalping, the idea is to accumulate profits from movements around the market opens and after the 21:30 US housing starts release. For members of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” if you follow the theory, there should be no problem in handling it.
Also, the 15-minute short-term scalping, which is a specialized short-term strategy, will be difficult given the weekend Jackson Hole meeting. It’s best not to force it today. It looks like support around the 147 yen area.
