【8/18 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Now let's dive into dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 147.35 yen.
This morning the dollar-yen started around 147.15 yen, but Tokyo time marks a quiet start to the week ahead of the Jackson Hole meeting later this week.
By the way, Chairman Powell’s speech at the Jackson Hole meeting is at 23:00 on the 22nd Japan time. Will we get any hints regarding future U.S. rate cuts from next month onward?
From the morning level, it looks like about a 20-pip rise as we transition to overseas trading hours. With no market-motivating headlines, will dollar-yen stay modest and firm around the 147 handle during overseas hours?
Now, here are tonight’s dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (and 22:30 Dow open)
—–
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute-chart scalping aims to capture profits from market open movements, given there are no particularly strong headlines. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, for those who prefer short-only 15-minute scalping, with a waiting period for Powell at Jackson Hole over the weekend and today’s lack of material making dollar-yen moves difficult, please don’t push it today.
Now, overseas trading hours will begin shortly!
【8/18 – Main U.S. Indicators & Events】
● There are no particularly important U.S. indicators or events today

Dollar-yen scalpers should not enter right before indicators or events; watch the timing carefully.
In fact, one of my trading methods, the “15-Minute Scalping” using a 15-minute chart, is fully released for free.
I hope it can be of some help (completely free).

Also, on the following page, I publish my main trading method, the “1-minute scalping using tick charts,” so if you’re interested, please take a look.
I confidently invite you all into the world of 1-minute scalping. (Sorry… this one is paid.)
If you’re aiming higher, please consider it.
